ceremony of the “Deepening the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cooperation to Promote the Construction of the Dawan District Framework Agreement”,marking the Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macau Bay After the district construction became a national strategy,it officially entered the substantive implementation stage.Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is the region with the highest degree of openness and the strongest economic vitality in China. It has good conditions for building a world-class Bay Area and a world-class city group, and promoting the integration and development of cities within the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao has also become The current important task.Since 2011,the GDP of the urban agglomerations of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has increased year by year.At the same time, the floating population of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has become more and more active. The oneway personnel exchange from Hong Kong to Guangdong,Macao and Guangdong has gradually developed into The situation of two-way personnel exchange between Guangdong,Hong Kong and Guangdong. The floating population of the urban agglomerations of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area promoted the integration of cities on the one hand and the income gap between the cities on the other. Therefore, studying the impact of the floating population on the income gap between the cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, has important practical significance for promoting the integration of the urban agglomerations of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and promoting the development of the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao. The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of floating population on the income gap between cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and select relevant statistics from Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in 2011-2017 to establish an econometric model to explore in detail the floating population's income gap between cities. The impact and discussion of the impact mechanism will find an effective way to better promote the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and narrow the income gap between the cities of Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macau.Through the empirical research on the selected statistical data, such as stationarity test, cointegration analysis, and error correction model, the following conclusions are drawn: In the long run,the difference in the number of floating populations representing the local market effect and the difference in the density of the floating population will shrink. The income gap between cities, and the difference in the level of education of the floating population representing the human capital effect will widen the income gap between cities, that is,the local market effect will narrow the income gap between the cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the human capital effect will expand Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The income gap between cities in the district;and the impact of human capital on the income gap between cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is greater than the impact of local market effects. In the short-term,the difference in the number of floating populations representing the local market effect and the difference in the density of the floating population will not affect the income gap between the cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the increase in the level of education of the floating population representing the human capital effect will expand Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The income gap between the cities in Dawan District, that is,the local market effect does not affect the income gap between the cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the human capital effect has widened the income gap between the cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Therefore,on the whole, the human capital effect has widened the income gap between cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Finally, based on the conclusions of empirical research, combined with the current situation of the income gap between the floating population and the urban area of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, this paper proposes countermeasures to narrow the urban income gap between Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and promote inter-city integration and development.
