A new round of science and technology and industrial revolution is emerging on a global scale,the new economy is booming,and innovative engineering talents are urgently needed as support,and higher requirements are placed on engineering and scientific talents.However,the talents currently trained in engineering education are difficult to meet the needs of the industry,especially in the lack of students' practical ability.In order to cultivate new-type engineering talents that meet the needs of enterprises,the Ministry of Education has proposed the construction of "new engineering",actively promoting the reform of engineering education and improving the quality of engineering talents.The training of new-type engineering talents puts forward higher requirements for teachers' ability,especially college teachers need to have strong engineering practice ability as a guarantee.But in practice,the development level of teachers' engineering practice ability is still lagging behind the requirements of the new engineering construction for teachers' ability.The lack of teachers' engineering practice ability has become an important factor hindering the improvement of engineering talent training quality.Based on this,this paper takes college teachers 'engineering practice ability as the research object,analyzes the connotation and extension of the concept of teachers'engineering practice ability through combing the existing research results and analyzing the theoretical basis,and combines teacher engineering with the requirements of new engineering construction Practical ability is divided into four aspects:engineering design ability,engineering operation ability,engineering communication ability and engineering guidance ability.In order to understand the actual situation of teachers' engineering practice ability,this article takes the composition of engineering practice ability as an analysis framework,through the design of a questionnaire,selects the full-time engineering teachers of N colleges in applied universities as the survey object,and investigates the development of the teachers 'engineering practice ability.Analyze its existing problems and causes,and put forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions.The survey results show that the overall level of engineering practice ability of teachers of N school is not strong,and there are problems such as poor feasibility of engineering design,low proficiency in engineering operations,weak cross-border communication in engineering,and insufficient intersection of engineering guidance.The main reasons for these problems are the imperfect engineering practice training system,the incomplete management mechanism of school-enterprise cooperation,the imperfect school evaluation system for teachers,and the insufficient internal driving force for teachers to improve engineering practice.In response to these problems,this paper proposes that the training strategy of teachers' engineering practical ability under the background of new engineering disciplines mainly includes the construction of a practical training system based on school-enterprise cooperation,the improvement of the management guarantee mechanism for corporate practice training,the improvement of the teacher evaluation system and the stimulation of engineering practical ability There are four aspects of internal driving force for teachers to improve engineering practice ability.
