"The Biology Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(Experiments)" promulgated in 2017 clearly points out that based on facts and evidence,the concepts of molecules and cells,heredity and variation,homeostasis and regulation,biology and environment can be explained in an appropriate form by means of models and modeling.As a tool or a medium,the model simplifies,concretizes and visualizes the difficult knowledge points,which helps students understand and master the knowledge they have learned.The new curriculum standard of biology in senior high school emphasizes the cultivation of students' core academic accomplishment,probes into and explains the phenomena and laws of life in the process of model construction,and gradually develops students' scientific thinking and forms the concept of life.Discipline core literacy is the concentrated reflection of the value of discipline education,mainly through teaching.At the same time,the compulsory textbook of Biology Education Press of senior high school also designs the corresponding model construction activities,hoping that through the development of model construction activities in teaching to meet the requirements of curriculum standards to improve students' scientific literacy.This paper mainly uses the methods of literature research,interview,questionnaire survey and experimental research to review the current situation of model construction teaching at home and abroad and the types of biological models,so as to lay the foundation for the follow-up research.From the perspective of teachers and students,the current situation of biology model teaching in Lingshi No.1 Middle School is understood and analyzed,and understand the teachers' understanding and application of biological core literacy.According to the textbook of senior high school biology published by People's Education Press,three kinds of teaching cases of the model are designed,and two classes ofthe second grade of Lingshi No.1 Middle School are engaged in the experimental study of the teaching of biology model construction.Teaching practice focuses on guiding students to actively model,integrating theory with practice,and cultivating students' modeling ability.The following results were obtained: By sorting out the steps of model construction and the relevant contents of teaching,we have a thorough understanding of the mode of model construction,so as to better infiltrate the model into teaching.The participation of middle school students in the class of model construction teaching is higher than that of the control class,and the activity of model construction in class helps students to understand and master biological knowledge and improve their modeling thinking and modeling ability.After the teaching experiment,the biological performance of the students in the experimental class is significantly higher than that of the control class.In addition,it also summarizes the teaching strategies and points for attention of high school biology application model construction teaching.Before using model to construct teaching,teachers need to summarize the content related to model in senior high school biology textbooks,and emphasize the general method of scientific construction of model in class.Based on the analysis of the results of the experimental study,some suggestions are put forward to facilitate the teaching of model construction.Schools organize teachers to participate in training or further study,collective observation activities,class evaluation activities and exchange seminars;teachers timely change old concepts,face up to the advantages of model-building teaching in developing students' abilities;carefully design and organize model-building activities;and teach students the methods of model-building learning.This study shows that the application of Model-based Teaching in senior high school biology class is effective.It can not only enable students to grasp knowledge points systematically,master scientific learning methods,and enhance core biological literacy,but also help to improve teachers' scientific research ability and professional skills,and provide reference for senior high school biology teaching to achieve effective teaching through the construction of model.
