Under the background of vigorously promoting quality education,the new curriculum reform emphasizes that biology teaching should pay attention to students,personal experience,pay attention to the continuous generation of biological knowledge in interaction,form the habit of scientific thinking,comprehensively develop various abilities such as problem solving and lifelong learning.Although remarkable progress has been made in curriculum concept,textbook compilation and teaching practice in the past decade,there are still the following problems in current high school biology teaching in China:First,the teaching method is mainly "lecture",supplemented by sporadic "practice";Second,the teaching does not focus on improving students' thinking level;Third,teaching is not closely integrated with life and practice;Fourth,the interaction between teachers and students is not deep enough.As a new learning method based on core literacy,PBL aims to realize children's learning subject status,which conforms to the current concept of curriculum reform in China.However,introducing it into biology teaching,how to judge what content is suitable for PBL teaching,how to design classroom teaching,and what influence it will bring to students,all need to be studied.Based on the previous research,this study reviewed the origin,concept,type,basic elements,characteristics,restriction conditions,theoretical basis,existing problems and research status of PBL teaching model.Then,combining with the characteristics of biology and integrating with the core competence of the discipline,this paper constructed the PBL teaching mode of high school biology from the perspective of core competence,summarized the four criteria for selecting PBL teaching content,and selected the content suitable for PBL teaching in the second compulsory course of Zhejiang Science Edition.This paper summarized the problem situation creation,problem analysis and evaluation strategy in PBL teaching.Then it carried out a teaching practice research,comparing with the routine classroom teaching,to examine its teaching effect through unified test,questionnaire investigation,scale measurement and teacher interview,and found some deficiencies through practice.Finally,the conclusion of the study and the shortcomings of the whole study are summarized,and the enlightenment and suggestions are put forward.The conclusions are as follows:(1)PBL teaching of high school biology should choose the content which is closely related to the actual life,based on the recent development area of students,and has certain comprehensiveness,openness and practical or exploratory value.(2)The process of PBL teaching mode of high school biology from the perspective of core competence:to create a heterogeneous group,to define the task of a member?to create a problem context,to raise a subject problem?to analyze the known and unknown,to decompose the subject problem?to collect the data by dividing labour,to communicate and discuss within the group?to present results,to summarize knowledge between groups.(3)in PBL teaching,teachers can create problem situations by means of textbook resources,video resources,life experiences or phenomena,social hot spots or news events,and students can use problem situation analysis tables or thought maps to analyze problems.Teachers should construct a multi-interactive three-dimensional evaluation system.(4)PBL teaching model of high school biology from the perspective of core competence not only helps to improve students' interest in learning,but also significantly develops students' critical thinking,a scientific thinking,and exercises students' abilities in various aspects under the condition of ensuring students' knowledge acquisition.It has also been recognized by students and teachers.Therefore,PBL teaching mode of high school biology from the perspective of core competence has feasibility and practical significance,which is worthy of being popularized in biology teaching.It is hoped that this study can provide some help for teachers and students to apply PBL teaching in biology teaching.
