At the end of the 20th century, the US,the UK and other Western countries began to implement STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics)education programs in order to enhance its international competitiveness, with the aim of improving the number and quality of talents in the STEM field. Most of the foreign empirical evidence Studies have shown that STEM can not only promote students, learming attitude, but also help students to understand knowledge, improve students, mathematics and scientific achievements, and develop high-level skills such as students, creative thinking and problem-solving skills. In recent years,China has also begun to learn Western STEM education concepts and to offer STEM courses in primary and secondary schools in China. However, under the background of domestic examination culture, primary and secondary school principals and teachers still have doubts about whether STEM can improve the learning outcomes of Chinese students. At the same time,I am also worried about whether the STEM course will affect the students' test scores. This study hopes to reduce teachers' doubts about STEM.We first sort out the domestic and foreign literatures and find that STEM has a positive effect on students'.attitudes, knowledge learning and high-level ability, but whether different scholars can improve students1 learning for STEM There are controversies in the results. We cannot simply and qualitatively synthesize the contradictions of different scholars. Therefore,we analyze the influence of STEM on students' learning outcomes by means of meta-analysis,and calculate the effect of STEM on the learning outcomes of students in three dimensions. Then we selected STEM teachers and students from three schools in H City,Zhejiang Province as the research object, using STEM teacher interviews,cross-experimental research, longitudinal data analysis, attitude and high-level ability questiornaires, based on quantitative research, qualitative research A complementary hybrid research method to explore the impact of STEM on student learning outcomes. The results of meta-analysis show that STEM has a significant positive effect on students' attitudes, knowledge learning and high-order ability. It has found that STEM has knowledge of students' knowledge, understanding and knowledge. There is a significant improvement in the application and mathematics and scientific achievements. At the same time,STEM has a significant improvement effect on students' mathematics and scientific achievements, but its existence is unstable, which is related to the discrimination of test questions.Secondly,STEM is critical to students.Thinking, creative thinking, cooperation ability and problem-solving ability have a significant positive effect, and also improve students' interest in science and mathematics and self-learning,making students more prone to math and science-related occupations,STEM teacher interviews This view is also reflected. In addition,STEM has a cumulative effect on students1 mathematics and scientific achievement, attitude and high-level ability. The longer the student participates in STEM,the higher the student's learning achievement level, and the difference between students who do not participate in STEM.In summary,STEM can simultaneously promote students, attitudes, knowledge learning and higher-level abilities, and there is a mutual promotion relationship among them, which makes STEM a benign cycle for students' learning outcomes.
