Textbooks play an important role in the teaching process and are important tools for teachers to “teach” and students to “learn”.The high school chemistry textbook is the materialization form and text material of the high school chemistry curriculum standard, which directly embodies the core idea of the new curriculum standard. The compulsory content is the foundation that all high school students must study and plays an important role in high school chemistry teaching. At the end of 2017,the new chemistry curriculum standard for senior high school was promulgated, and the compulsory textbook for senior high school chemistry compiled according to the new curriculum standard was published in June 2019.In order to compare the differences between the new compulsory textbook and the compulsory textbook for senior high school chemistry compiled according to the 2003 edition of curriculum standard, especially to understand the innovations of the new textbook,it is necessary to make a comparative analysis of the two versions of compulsory textbooks for senior high school chemistry,so as to provide some references for the use of the new textbook. In this paper, the author selects the compulsory textbook of senior high school chemistry published by People's Education Press(2007 revision)and the compulsory textbook of senior high school chemistry published by People's Education Press(2019 edition)according to the curriculum standard of 2017 edition as the research object. On the basis of combing the relevant literature, this paper analyzes the difference between the two compulsory textbooks from the aspects of textbook compilation basis, textbook content selection, content arrangement and content presentation, and then analyzes the other writing characteristics of the new textbook. After that,we take the content of “ion reaction” as an example to carry on the case analysis, and make a more detailed comparative study on the new and old textbook. The study found that: Under the guidance of the new curriculum standard of the 2017 edition, the new compulsory textbook, based on the development of students' chemical core literacy, has opened up the limitation of compulsory modules. In terms of content selection, the new textbook selected the contents of the compulsory part, streamlined some content appropriately, and added some contents to enrich the knowledge system of the compulsory part of chemistry in senior high school. In terms of content arrangement, the new textbook pays more attention to the arrangement of factual knowledge and theoretical knowledge, highlighting the core concepts of chemistry and the leading role of core concepts. In terms of content presentation, the types and number of columns are increased, and the function orientation is more accurate. The total number of charts is more than the old textbook, and the number of portrait drawings and production and life drawings is increased obviously. The selection of exercise materials is more closely related to the actual production and life, and the number of experimental and comprehensive application questions is increased. The new textbook also presents other writing features, such as attaching importance to the use of information technology, highlighting the moral education function of the chemistry discipline, and contributing to the development of chemical core literacy. Finally, based on the above research, the author puts forward some suggestions on the use of new teaching materials: based on the teaching objectives and evaluation objectives in the new curriculum standard 2017 edition, teachers can make full use of the rich situational materials in the new textbook, reasonably use various columns, effectively use the exercises in the teaching materials, carry out the integrated teaching of “teaching”,“learning” and “evaluation”,and help students develop the chemical core literacy.
