The experimental Chemistry Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(old curriculum standards for short)published in 2003 has guided the practice of the chemistry curriculum reform in senior high schools in China for more than ten years and achieved remarkable results.With the rapid development of society,economy and technology,the old curriculum standards also need to be updated and improved.In 2017,the Ministry of Education released the Chemistry Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2017 Edition)(New Curriculum Standards for short).The new curriculum standards summarize the core quality of chemistry discipline of five dimensions,and define the correct values,essential characters and key abilities that students should achieve after learning chemistry courses,which is of great significance.the first volume of high school chemistry compulsory textbook of PEP2019 edition(the new textbook for short)is compiled under the guidance of the new curriculum standards.The textbook is based on the development of the core quality of chemistry discipline and fully reflects the idea of being literacy-oriented.One of the highlights of the textbook is to set up columns with rich forms and various functions.It has a big difference compared with 2004 edition of the first volume of high school chemistry compulsory textbook(the old textbook for short)column.This study takes the column of the new textbook as the research object.It compares the columns of the old and new textbooks,studies the design ideas of the column of the new textbook,learns the use of the column,proposes the column teaching strategies and carries out teaching practice through the methods of literature research,comparative research,questionnaire survey,practical research and interview.This study is divided into four parts:Part one is foreword.It summarizes the background,purpose,significance,domestic research status,research content,ideas and methods of the column research,defines several related concepts of chemistry curriculum standards,textbooks,new and old textbooks,columns and teaching strategies,and states the theoretical basis of this study.Part two is going to study the design idea of the column of new textbook.The most important parts are the comparative research of the new textbook column and the old textbook column and detailed research of the overall design characteristics of the column,the distribution,position,presentation form,characteristics and teaching value of each column in each chapter.The textbook has rich columns,comprehensive functions,integrates the core literacy of the subject,implements the new curriculum standards,embodies the educational function of the textbook,and is beneficial to teaching and learning.Part three is aimed at knowing the usage of the column of the new textbook by teachers and students,and analyze the current situation of the use of the column of the new textbook through questionnaires.Under the guidance of theoretical basis,Based on the features,functions and educational value of the new textbook column,and considering the problems existing in the use of the column by teachers and students,various teaching resources are analyzed,experience is absorbed,and teaching strategies of the new textbook column are proposed and analyzed according to cases.For the activity column,we should elaborately carry out the activity teaching,strengthen the activity design,guide students to actively participate in the activities,gain knowledge and improve their ability in the activities.For the developing column,we should make full use of the column resources to guide students to read the material actively,obtain effective information and broaden their horizons.For the methodological column,we should make full use of the column to guide students to summarize knowledge,refine methods,construct models,improve the understanding of substances and reactions,construct structured knowledge and form core concepts.For the exercise column,we should strengthen the consolidation exercises,carry out the function of diagnosis and evaluation of exercises,and guide students to apply knowledge to solve practical problems.Part four is practice.The teaching practice of the teaching column is carried out,the practical effect is evaluated,and the teaching effect is obtained according to the teaching strategy of the column of new textbook.It is found that the correct use of textbook columns in teaching can not only improve academic performance,but also mobilize students' enthusiasm,cultivate students' interest in learning,improve students' exploration ability,thinking ability,manipulative ability and other abilities,and implement the core literacy of chemistry discipline.
