| Objectives: This research attempted to explore the relationship among Dark Triad(Machiavellianism,psychopathy,narcissism),Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment,and Mental Resilience,and to examine the mediating role of Mental Resilience between Dark Triad and Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment.Methods: By stratified random sampling method,1215 middle school students(junior high school students and senior high school students)were selected from H and G.The Chinese revised version of Short Dark Triad(SD3),Non-suicidal Self-injury-Assessment Tool(NSSI-AL),and Resilience Scale(RS)were used to test and collect effective data.71 invalid data were removed,1144 valid data were obtained,and the data were analyzed with SPSS21.0 data analysis package.The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics,independent sample t-test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson product difference correlation analysis and intermediary effect test.The results of this study are used for practical exploration,such as psychological counseling.Results:(1)Gender difference: male subjects in the total score of Dark Triad and its dimensions were significantly higher than female subjects(t = 5.40,p<0.001).The Resilience of male subjects was significantly higher than female subjects(t = 3.34,p<0.01).There was no significant difference in Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment between genders.(2)The difference between left-behind children and non-left-behind children: the level of Resilience of non-left-behind children was significantly higher than left-behind children(t = 3.23,p< 0.01).There was no significant difference between left-behind children and non-left-behind children in Dark Triad and Non-suicide Self-injury assessment.(3)The difference between the only-child and the non-only-child: the score of Dark Triad of the only-child was significantly higher than the non-only-child(t = 2.59,p<0.05).There was no significant difference in Resilience and Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment.(4)The difference between the parents divorced children and the non-parents-divorced children: the score of Dark Triad in the parents divorced children was significantly higher than the nonparents-divorced children(t = 2.46,p< 0.05).There was no significant difference in Resilience and Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment.(5)The difference between the parents? living children and the parents? dead children: the score of Psychopathy of the father?s died children was significantly higher than the father?s dead children(t =-2.18,p<0.05).There were significant differences in Dark Triad(t=-2.34,p<0.05)and Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment(t=-2.12,p<0.05)between the mother?s dead children and the mother?s living children.(6)Differences of different Dark Triad levels: there was no significant difference in Resilience between the high groups of Dark Triad and the low groups of Dark Triad,and the high group of Dark Triad was significantly higher than the low group of Dark Triad in Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment(t =-8.43,p< 0.001).(7)The influence of parents' different education level on their children: the influence of fathers' education level on their children has significant difference in Resilience(F=6.91,p< 0.001)and Non-suicide Self-injury assessment(F =6.98,p< 0.001);the influence of mothers' education level on their children has significant difference in Resilience(F =5.23,p< 0.001).(8)The influence of the parents' differences occupations on their children: there were significant differences in the influence of fathers' occupations on their children in the Dark Triad(F =3.05,p< 0.05),Resilience(F =5.20,p< 0.01)and Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment(F =5.30,p< 0.01);there were only significant differences in the influence of mothers' occupations on their children's Resilience(F =2.71,p< 0.05).(9)Dark Triad was positively correlated with Non-suicidal Self-injury(t = 0.340,p< 0.01),Dark Triad was positively correlated with Resilience(t = 0.068,p< 0.05).Machiavellianism was positively correlated with Non-suicidal Self-injury behavior(t=0.254,p<0.01),Psychopathy was positively correlated with Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment(t=0.378,p<0.01),Narcissism was positively correlated with Resilience(t=0.276,p<0.01)and Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment(t = 0.129,p<0.01).and Resilience was negatively correlated with Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment(t =-0.180,p< 0.01).Conclusions:(1)The Narcissism of Male is significantly higher than female.The male adolescents pay more and more attention to self-development after 00.There are significant differences in Resilience between men and women.The scores of male Resilience are significantly higher than that of women.Most of the subjects come from rural areas,which show that boys still get more education and attention from their families.In rural areas,the phenomenon of boys are more important than girls is still there.There is no significant difference in Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment between genders.Both boys and girls have similar level of self-injury assessment.(2)There is the possibility of "blackening" in the growth process of both left-behind children and non-left-behind children;and more attention should be paid to the shaping of left-behind children's Resilience in the development of mental health;the only-child is prone to "blackening" in the growth due to its unique favor;the parents have a profound impact on their children,and parents divorced children are likely to "blackening",and it is easy to be extreme to develop the personality of Dark Triad;the educational level and occupation of parents have a certain impact on the Resilience and Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment of children,and the influence of mother on children is more important than that of father in the growth of teenagers.(3)The individuals with high Dark Triad are more callous,and their interpersonal relationship is worse than those with low Dark Triad.When facing difficulties,they are more inclined to vent by self-injuring assessment,and the intensity of self-injury assessment is more serious.(4)Resilience has a negative predictive effect on Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment,and Dark Triad has a positive predictive effect on Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment.Through the shaping of adolescent Resilience and the cultivation of bright personality,self-injury assessment can be reduced.(5)Resilience has a significant mediating effect between Dark Triad and Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment,and it is "masking effect".Dark Triad can directly affect Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment,or it can also affect Non-suicidal Self-injury assessment through the "masking effect" of Resilience. |
