The vigorous development of the cause of special education in our country urgently needs a group of special education teachers with sufficient quantity and good quality,so it is more and more important to strengthen the before position training of special education teachers.As the preparatory army of teachers of special education,normal university students of special education in normal universities can not only enrich the theory of special teacher education,but also provide reference for the development of normal university students' professional ability.This study includes four parts,the first part through the literature review,analyse the composition of special education teachers' professional ability,based on the special education teachers' professional standard(trial),the special education major students professional ability is divided into use and create the environment,the education teaching ability to design,organize and implement the six dimensions;The second part is the compilation of the questionnaire on the professional competence of normal university students in special education.According to the basic requirements of special education teachers' professional competence in the professional standards of special education teachers(trial),a prediction questionnaire was prepared.After analyzing and verifying the reliability and validity of the prediction questionnaire,a formal questionnaire was obtained.The third part is the investigation of the present situation of the special education students' professional ability.The development characteristics and differences of the professional ability of 359 normal university students in special education were investigated and analyzed by means of a self-designed questionnaire.The fourth part conducts semi-structured interviews with ten normal university students majoring in special education,analyzes the practical effects of different events on their professional ability,and explores the favorable and unfavorable factors affecting the development of normal university students' professional ability.The study found that:(1)the self-compiled questionnaire on the professional competence of normal university students of special education has good reliabilityand validity,which can be used as an effective tool to investigate the professional competence of normal university students of special education;(2)the professional ability of normal university students majoring in special education is at the above average level.The professional ability of normal university students varies significantly in different background variables,such as the institution of study,scholarship and internship duration.Gender and the reasons for choosing special education major have no significant influence on the professional ability of normal university students.(3)the development of professional ability of normal university students in special education is influenced by their own factors,curriculum learning,learning environment and resources,practice links and teacher's demonstration and guidance,and will face challenges in actual teaching work.Based on the research results,this paper proposes specific measures to improve the professional ability of normal university students in special education from the perspectives of educational administrative departments,higher normal universities and normal university students.The education administration plays the role of guidance and guarantee by improving the related policies of special education teachers and establishing the special education teacher qualification admittance system.Higher normal colleges should strengthen the construction of special education courses,attach importance to the practice of students and organize a team of teachers.Normal university students should correct their learning attitude and enhance their professional identity.At the same time,we should pay attention to practice reflection and make development plan.
