Social media has become a part of our daily life.Although the debate about how social media may affect the quality of life,users of different social media have increased over time.Undoubtedly,Social media is the digital intersection of art and expression-photography,writing,video,music-the formats of each platform providing important creative way.Recent studies on social media show that it plays a role in the development of a personal knowledge system and personal creativity.Based on the componential model of creativity and social networks theory,this paper develops a model to analyze the effect of social media usage on college students' creativity and the mechanisms and conditions of the effect.Literature research and questionnaires are used in the association study of social media and college students' creativity.By analyzing the 271 college students samples and using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical software,the following conclusions were drawn:First,the social media usage has a positive effect on college students' creativity;Second,social media usage also have a positive effect on with knowledge sharing;Third,knowledge sharing have a positive effect on college students'creativity;Four,knowledge sharing plays an intermediary role in the impact of social media usage on creativity;Five,Openness to experience has shown a positive influence the relationship between social media usage and knowledge sharing.In this paper,the findings provided empirical evidence which the effect and mechanism of college students' social media usage on their creativity.They contribute to the theoretical study of individual creativity of students.These findings also confirm the usefulness of combining explorations of personality and social media usage and provide a new prospect idea for in-depth study.
