With the substantial increase in the number of graduate students enrolled in recent years,university research teams have become a learning,living and working platform that many graduate students rely on during the training process,especially in the medical professional field.Graduate students often need to rely on the team to cooperate with others to complete daily learning,clinical and scientific research.People with different roles constitute the internal social capital of the team,and the impact of these social capitals on the innovation performance of graduate students has become a problem that must be faced in the construction of high-level graduate education.This research focuses on the core question-what is the relationship between the social capital of postgraduates and innovation performance within the university research team? What kind of mechanism does it have internally? Sort out the connotations and relationships of social capital,knowledge sharing,and innovation performance.In this study,social capital is a multi-dimensional concept with three dimensions: structure,relationship,and cognition.The structural dimension mainly reflects the overall characteristics of the postgraduate social network within the team,and describes the connection structure between the postgraduates' personal relationships.The relationship dimension mainly reflects the specific relationship formed by the graduate students through communication,interaction,and cooperation in the team,and describes the connections between the graduate students in the long-term exchanges.The cognitive dimension mainly reflects the meaning system of shared symbols,methods,and deductions in the social communication of graduate students within the team.This study describes the innovation performance of graduate students through explicit innovation achievements,implicit innovation motivation,innovative personality,and innovative thinking,making it more in line with the real situation of Chinese graduate education.Innovation motivation is divided into two types: internal motivation and external motivation,which not only reflects the self-driving force of the individual's academic input,but also reflects the individual's non-academic purpose.Innovative personality reflects the personality traits that medical graduates should possess,with both a firm personal willpower and a team spirit.Innovative thinking reflects the development of graduate students' innovative thinking and is a high-level thinking activity process of finding and solving problems.Innovation achievements reflect the final external results of innovation performance,and are also the indicators most easily recognized by the outside world.Knowledge sharing is a communication process between the members of the scientific research team of the university as a knowledge sharer and receiver,which is divided into two aspects: sharing willingness and sharing behavior.This thesis mainly adopts the empirical research method combining quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to study the influence relationship between the social capital of graduate students of scientific research teams and innovation performance.Drawing on the mature scales at home and abroad,we developed a questionnaire on the social capital,knowledge sharing,and innovation performance of graduate students in university research teams.A total of 410 questionnaires were issued to three graduate students of medical schools in Shanghai with doctoral granting rights.And conducted qualitative interviews with typical representative graduate students based on written interviews with some people.Through quantitative data inspection and qualitative case analysis,the following research conclusions are drawn:(1)The status quo and influencing factors of social capital,knowledge sharing and innovation performance.First,the overall social capital of postgraduates within the university research team is at a medium level.The degree of importance of postgraduates to the connotation of social capital is the relationship dimension,cognitive dimension,and structural dimension.Among them,the density of social capital structure has more practical significance for the social capital structure of graduate students.Relational rational trust plays a leading role in social capital relations.The common goal of social capital cognition is relatively more important.Team-level factors have a significant impact on social capital.Second,the overall innovation performance of graduate students in the scientific research team of universities is at a medium level.Graduate students' recognition of their innovation performance level is in order of innovative thinking,innovative motivation,innovative personality,and innovative achievement dimensions.Among them,the external innovation motivation is greater than the internal innovation motivation,the innovation personality develops slowly in the accumulation,the postgraduate innovation thinking has the greatest influence,and the output of innovation results is weak.Factors such as team level,mentor title,and degree type have a significant impact on innovation performance.Third,the overall knowledge sharing of graduate students in scientific research teams at universities is at a medium level,and the willingness to share knowledge is stronger than that of knowledge sharing.The influence factors of individual characteristics and team attributes have no significant influence on knowledge sharing.(2)Social capital,knowledge sharing and innovation performance mechanism.First,the social capital of postgraduates within the university research team significantly affects innovation performance.Among them,the social capital structure of graduate students has a significant positive influence on innovation motivation,innovative personality,innovative thinking,and innovative achievements;the social capital relationship of graduate students has no significant influence on innovation motivation,innovative personality,innovative thinking,and innovative achievements;It has a positive and significant impact on innovation motivation,innovative thinking,and innovation achievements,but the path coefficient for innovation personality is not significant.Social capital structure is the basic premise that positively affects innovation performance,and social capital cognition is an important variable.Secondly,the social capital of postgraduates within the research team of colleges and universities significantly affects the level of knowledge sharing.Among them,the path coefficient of postgraduate social capital structure on knowledge sharing intention and knowledge sharing behavior is not significant;social capital relationship has significant positive influence on knowledge sharing intention and knowledge sharing behavior;social capital cognition has knowledge sharing knowledge and knowledge sharing behavior Significant positive impact.The third is that knowledge sharing among research teams in colleges and universities significantly affects the innovation performance of graduate students.Among them,the willingness to share knowledge has a significant negative impact on innovation achievements,but the path coefficient for innovation motivation,innovation personality,and innovation thinking is not significant;knowledge sharing behavior has a significant positive impact on innovation motivation,innovation personality,innovation thinking,and innovation achievements.Fourth,knowledge sharing has a significant intermediary role between postgraduate social capital and innovation performance.Among them,knowledge sharing has no intermediary influence between social capital structure and innovation motivation,innovative personality,innovative thinking,and innovative achievements;knowledge sharing has significant intermediary influence between social capital relationship and innovation motivation,innovative personality,and innovative thinking,and belongs to Fully intermediary,the intermediary role between social capital relationship and innovation achievement is not significant;knowledge sharing has a significant intermediary effect on social capital cognition and innovation motivation,innovative personality,and innovative thinking,and it is part of the intermediary role with innovation motivation and innovation results,and Innovative personality is completely intermediary.It can be seen that knowledge sharing is a key intermediary role for each dimension of social capital relationship and innovation performance.Based on the above research conclusions,four aspects are emphasized: attach importance to the cultivation of postgraduate social capital,improve the network structure of postgraduate social capital development,optimize the quality of social network relationships within university research teams,and promote the enhancement of team relationship cognition aimed at the integration of common cultural values Put forward countermeasures to promote postgraduate social capital and enhance innovation performance.
