Toilets have a long history in China and have gradually developed into an indispensable part of people 's daily lives.It exists to control the excretion of the people,but at the same time maintains a unique regional character.The location of the toilet in Aijiatun is selected according to the Feng Shui concept.Even though it has changed several times in social development,the location of the toilet remains unchanged due to cultural inertia.However,the change of toilet culture has brought about a certain degree of influence.It has changed the basic appearance of people's daily life,and the lifestyle is constantly being refreshed.Therefore,this article uses the methods of folklore,sociology,and anthropology to investigate the characteristics of Aijiatun's toilet shape and toilet culture,and to explore the potential impact of toilet culture changes on people's concepts and lives.The first part of this article is an introduction,which is mainly about the writing of the research origin and significance and the research results of toilet culture at home and abroad,followed by research methods,research ideas and data sources,and finally innovations and the definition of the key terms.The main part of the article is mainly discussed from four chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the rural toilet culture overview of Jiaodong Peninsula.First,by introducing the profile of the Jiaodong Peninsula area and its affiliated village Aijiatun,to have a holistic understanding and cognition of its natural environment and humanistic environment;Second,it focuses on the changes in the shape of the Aijiatun toilet since the Republic of China period.With the change of society,the type of toilet has changed from a pigsty with toilet to a single dry toilet,and then to a flush toilet.In this process,the internal and external dynamics of changing from a traditional dry toilet to a flush toilet are analyzed;Finally,it summarizes thecharacteristics of Aijiatun toilet culture;The second chapter examines the location and construction of toilets in villages and finds that the location of toilets in this area has a great relationship with Feng Shui,although the toilets have been rebuilt.However,due to inertia,the location of the toilet still retains the living space in the traditional way,but at the same time,a new sprout has emerged,that is,the entry of the toilet into the house is likely to become the new direction of the location of the rural toilet in the future.Subsequently,through the construction process of toilets,it reflects the changes in the social life of villagers.Due to the improvement of the rural people's material living standards,it has led to changes in toilets over time stage;The third chapter starts with the use and cleaning of toilets.This part is mainly through the exploration of toilet habits,toilet awareness and toilet utensils of villagers,which reflects the habits and awareness of villagers in the changes of toilets.It is still deeply influenced by traditional habits,but the utensils used in toilets change with the improvement of living standards.In addition,after the toilet revolution,a series of significant changes in toilet cleaning methods have occurred.From these changes,it can be seen that traditional cleaning methods have basically been replaced by modern technologies,and the villagers 'lifestyles have changed from personal labor to public services;The fourth chapter explains that during the toilet revolution,the overall environment of toilets,the value of excreta and the attitudes and folk ideas of the villagers have all changed.
