Understanding is the aim of education,and the Understanding by Design(UbD)is the premise and guarantee to realize understanding.Understanding is not simply "know" and "acquaintance",understanding means that students can achieve explanation,interpretation,plication,perspective,empathy,self-knowledge in their study.Understanding by Design takes the advantage of "Backward Design" to carry out the evaluation throughout the teaching,breaks the malpractice that the traditional teaching design neglects the evaluation and neglects the understanding,and provides a new teaching idea for carrying out the core accomplishment of the subject and carrying out the deep teaching.Unde rstanding by Design as adesign criterion and is committed to the realization of understanding,Ho wever,the application and practice in the teaching of Chinese subjects have not yet appeared,so how to apply the Understanding by Design in Chinese teaching and whether it can realize underst anding in Chinese teaching will be the key problem solved in this study.This paper combs through the literature review method to comb the research results of compr ehension teaching to understand the research status quo of understanding teaching,analyzes the res earch results related to the theory of teaching design(UbD)in pursuit of understanding,summarize s the teaching mode of UbD theory,and clarifies the teaching ideas of UbD theory on the basis o f the characteristics of understanding,transfer and reverse design.On this basis,combined with the requirements of action research,the research ideas of this paper are constructed.The concrete det ails are select a high school in the intern school where the researcher is located to conduct action research,the research object is a class brought by the researcher's intern tutor X teacher,X teacher is the cooperative research teacher of this research.This study follows the action research model of teaching design-classroom implementation-action reflection,and further verifies the relevance of UbD theory in Chinese teaching by continuously observing,recording and reflecting the content o f teaching design and classroom implementation.Among them,the teaching design is designed in strict accordance with the three stages of reverse design in UbD theory,from the learning results of phase one clearly expected to determine the appropriate evaluation evidence to the reasonable teaching activities of phase three,each stage has been polished by the researchers several times,fro m which it can be summarized and analyzed more reasonable teaching design.The course of actio n is five rounds,each round of teaching after the implementation of the reflection will be in the r eflection to sum up experience,find problems,so as to improve in the continuous maturity.According to the course of action,the researchers analyzed and discussed three aspects of tea ching design,classroom implementation and student performance,and obtained the following results:teaching design needs to be revised repeatedly,teaching objectives should be based on understand ing,evaluation evidence should be throughout,teaching activities should promote transfer.Teaching effect is restricted by many aspects,teachers in the classroom implementation should pay attention to change roles,create learning situations,good at interactive questions and answers,encourage "empathy" and "perspective",advocate self-assessment with his assessment,pay attention to student f eedback,urge students to think carefully.Students perform well,improve their abilities,increase thei r interest in learning,and havea deeper understanding of knowledge.On the basis of the research results,the researchers concluded that UbD theory can be integra ted into Chinese teaching,but it inevitably faces some challenges in the process of implementation;UbD teaching mode can enhance learning experience and promote teaching change.On the basis of this conclusion,by summarizing the research process of this study and combining the characteri stics of UbD theory,this paper puts forward some suggestions for teachers,schools and subsequent relevant researchers to practice UbD theory,and looks forward to the teaching practice of UbD t heory at the end of the paper.
