The Effect Of Coach Leadership Behavior On Team Cohesion

Dragon Boat is a team-competitive sports event in which the drummer controls the rhythm,the helmsman controls the direction,and the rower provides power to gather people's cooperation.The level of team cohesion is the winning factor for such collective sports.It was found in practical research that some dragon boat athletes simply wanted to experience the fun of this new athlete in the training competition,and did not recognize the team from the heart.Therefore,they lacked initiative in the training competition.In order to solve this problem,I hope to improve Athletes' team identity improves the level of team cohesion of athletes.Studies have shown that the coaches of the Dragon Boat sport as the leader of the sports team not only need to improve the team's level of competition,but also the guide for the athletes' learning life.The different tendencies of the coac hes leadership behavior in sports teams will lead to Members have different levels of team cohesion and team identity.Therefore,from the perspective of psychology,this article takes the leadership of coaches,team identity,and team cohesion as the theme to carry out related research on the Hubei Provincial College Dragon Boat Team athletes.This research uses literature data method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics method and other research methods to study the 276 athletes of Hubei University Dragon Boat Team.The Hubei University Dragon Boat Team's coaching behavior,team identity and team cohesion are among the three.The relationship as the research object is as follows:(1)The leadership behavior of the coaches of the Hubei University Dragon Boat Team is mainly democratic leadership,and the team members have a high level of team identity and team cohesion.(2)Differences in team identity,team cohesion in gender,boat position(drummer,helmsman,and leading paddler)reach significant levels.Males are higher than women,and they are in the core position(drummer,helmsman,or leading paddler).)The members are above the paddling.(3)Democratic leadership behavior has a significant positive correlation with team identity and team cohesion,while authoritarian leadership behavior has a significant negative correlation with team identity and team cohesion.Team identity is significantly positively related to team cohesion.(4)Democratic leadership behavior has a significant positive prediction effect on team identity and team cohesion;authoritarian leadership behavior has a significant negative prediction effect on team identity and team cohesion.Team identity has a positive predictive effect on team cohesion.(5)The sense of team identity plays a full mediating role in the leadership behavior of democratic coaches and team cohesion,and a part of the mediating role in the leadership behavior of autocratic coaches.Democratic leadership behavior indirectly affects team cohesion through team identity.Authoritarian leadership behavior can directly affect team cohesion and indirectly affect team cohesion through team identity.
