The purpose of this article is to explore the impact of functional training on the basic movement patterns and physical fitness of 9-10 year-old male table tennis players, and to compare the difference between the effect of functional training and traditional training to provide a reference for the scientific training of coaches.Research methods such as literature data method, experimental method, interview method and mathematical statistics method were used.24 Suzhou male table tennis players aged 9-10 were divided into experimental group and control group with no significant difference(P>0.05),12 people in each group. After physical training after the technical class training, the experimental group performs functional training(7.1-7.7 was the first stage,7.8-8.4 was the second stage,8.5-8.30 was the third stage, and the same training content was the same every day in the same stage). The group conducted traditional training(fixed weekly training content, different training content every day)for 9 weeks and 5 days a week. Before and after the experiment, the two groups of subjects were tested for basic movement patterns and physical fitness indicators, and the results were statistically processed using mathematical statistics.Paired sample T tests were performed in the group, and independent sample T tests were used between the groups.Inspection level is ?=0.05.The research results are as follows:1.After 9 weeks of training in the functional training group, the average scores of the Deep Squat,Hurdle Step,Shoulder Mobility,Trunk Stability Push-Up,Rotary Stability, total score,30-meter running, standing long jump,3000-meter running,3.5-meter side slipping steps and 45-second double-shake were significantly higher than before the experiment(P<0.05);the average scores of the In-Line Lunge and Active Straight Leg Raise were higher than before the experiment, the results were not significantly different(P>0.05).2.After 9 weeks of training in the traditional training group, the average scores of the 30-meter running, standing long jump,3000-meter running,3.5-meter side sliding step, and 45-second double shake were significantly higher than before the experiment(P<0.05);the average scores of the Deep Squat,Hurdle Step,Trunk Stability Push-Up,Rotary Stability were higher than before the experiment, the results had no significant difference(P>0.05);The average score of the In-Line Lunge was the same as before and the result was not significantly different(P>0.05).The average scores of the Shoulder Mobility and Active Straight Leg Raise were lower than before the experiment, and the results were not significantly different(P>0.05)3.After 9 weeks of training, the average scores of the Deep Squat,Hurdle Step,In-Line Lunge,Shoulder Mobility,Active Straight Leg Raise,Rotary Stability and total score in the functional training group were significantly higher than that in the traditional training group(P<0.05);the average score of the 30-meter running was higher than that in the traditional training group, and there was no significant difference(P>0.05);the average score of the Trunk Stability Push-Up was consistent with the traditional training group and there was no significant difference in results(P>0.05);the average scores of the standing long jump,3.5-meter side sliding step, and 45-second double shake were lower than that in the traditional training group, and the results were not significantly different(P>0.05);the average score of the 3000-meter running was significantly lower than that in the traditional training group(P<0.05).Conclusions are as follows:1.Functional training was significantly better than traditional training in improving the basic movement pattern of 9-10 year old male table tennis players, which was mainly reflected in the functional training group's basic movement patterns scores and total scores were almost significantly better than the traditional training group.2.Functional training had a significant effect on improving the physical fitness of 9-10 year old male table tennis players.Among them, the improvement of speed was better than traditional training, the improvement of lower limb strength, endurance and sensitivity was not as good as traditional training, and the improvement of coordination was almost the same as traditional training.3.There was no significant correlation between basic movement patterns and athletic performance.Basic movement patterns and athletic performance were two different abilities that athletes demonstrate in sports practice. The two could not be replaced by each other.4.The basic movement patters could effectively find the weak link of the athlete's physical function. The physical fitness could effectively find the weak quality of the athlete's basic athletic ability. The combination of the two could provide a reference for the design of the athlete's performance improvement training program.
