Objective: To understand the nutritional status of rural children in Xiangxi Prefecture,to explore the related influencing factors of the nutritional status of rural children,and to provide reference for improving the nutritional status of rural children in a targeted manner.Method: Using stratified cluster random sampling method,children aged 3-17 years were selected from rural schools in Xiangxi Prefecture for height and weight measurement.A total of 1666 effective samples were used in this survey.In the measurement of height and weight,some children above the third grade were randomly selected for questionnaire survey.Unconditional logistic regression was used to analyze the factors influencing the nutritional status of rural children.Results:(1)The problem of nutritional diseases of rural children in Xiangxi Prefecture is prominent,and the problems of malnutrition and overnutrition coexist.The distribution of nutritional diseases is mainly malnutrition.The incidence of malnutrition and overnutrition were 19.4% and 12.7%,respectively.(2)The nutritional status of children in rural schools in Xiangxi Prefecture has differences in gender,ethnicity,and age.The incidence of malnutrition among rural children of different genders,ethnicities,ages and school years is highly statistically significant(P ?0.01);the incidence of overnutrition among children of different ethnicities and school years is significant(P?0.05)And P ?0.01).(3)There are significant differences in malnutrition among different age groups,different school stages,different ethnic groups,different family types,attitudes towards long-distance running,and different occupations of mothers.(4)There are significant differences in overnutrition among different age groups,different school stages,different ethnic groups,different family types,several physical education classes per week,and the total monthly household income.Conclusion:(1)The problem of nutritional diseases of rural children in Xiangxi Prefecture is prominent,and the problems of malnutrition and overnutrition coexist.The distribution of nutritional diseases is mainly malnutrition;(2)There are differences in the nutritional status of children in rural schools in Xiangxi Prefecture by gender,ethnicity,and age level;(3)Family factors have a significant relationship with the nutritional status of rural children;(4)Physical exercise has a clear relationship with rural children in Xiangxi Prefecture;(5)The relationship between lifestyle and malnutrition is obvious;(6)The risk of malnutrition among the Tujia and the mother's occupation of farmers in different ethnic groups is high,with OR values of1.886 and 1.721,P value is less than 0.05;the attitude towards long-distance running isthat the risk of malnutrition in general children is low,OR value is 0.596,P value is less than 0.05;(7)Factors affecting rural children's overnutrition: as shown in Table 3.17 The risk of overnutrition is low,the OR value is 0.711,and the P value is less than 0.05.Sugestions:(1)According to the phenomenon of "double peaks" in the nutritional status of rural children in Xiangxi Prefecture,the local government needs to fully play its role;(2)According to the specific situation of local families,actively guide guardians and caregivers to pay attention to family education;(3)According to The specific situation of local children's physical exercise should make full use of school resources to ensure the standardization of school nutrition knowledge education;(4)According to the function of the village,vigorously strengthen the promotion of nutrition knowledge.
