The Application Of Group Work Method In The Health Promotion Of The Elderly In The Community

Social work as a new professional approach to community health services for the elderly has become an important way to solve the health problems of the elderly in China today.However,the possibility of social work interventions in community health services for the aged,the problems encountered,and how social workers use professional skills to carry out group work for the elderly are still important issues that need to be addressed theoretically and practically.Based on the community service project "The Elderly Happy Life Improvement Plan"which the author participated in during the internship,This article explores specific ways to improve the health level of older people in a community using group work methods.The project aims to serve the elderly in the community and promote the health of the elderly in the community.As a service provider,social workers accurately analyze the health status of elderly people in the community and the causes of problems through demand assessment,and explore the goals and paths of problem resolution.Based on this,they seek theories and models and specific activities for achieving the goals with professional social work methods,and then launched a series of group activities.After the end of the project,the health status of the service object,that is,the elderly in the community,is re-evaluated and post-tested.Through the comparison of the pre-test and post test and the specific process of group activities,the project evaluation will be carried out,the project effectiveness will be analyzed,the project will be summarized and reflected based on the evaluation results,and relevant suggestions will be put forward.From the implementation effect of the project,it is a practical and effective professional method to promote the health level of the elderly in the community through professional social work.In the operation of the project,social workers,as service providers,play multiple roles such as educators,guides,and enablers in line with the professional purpose of "helping others to help themselves".Based on professional theories and interaction models,social workers guide group members to carry out effective interaction and experience sharing through group activities,in order to stimulate the self-potential of the elderly in the community and promote their health.This study systematically studies the effective implementation ways of using professional social work to improve the health status of the elderly in the community through specific projects.It has important practical significance to improve the health level of the aged in the community.The professional reflection of insufficient research has certain reference value for the follow-up similar research and specific practical work.At the same time,the relevant suggestions put forward in this paper have some practical pertinence,which can also serve as a specific reference for the elderly in the community to further improve their health status and improve their health level.
