| In recent years,the state has issued a series of relevant policies to support the development of research travel,providing an effective way for students’ overall development.Under the background of the new curriculum reform,the subject of geography actively promotes the cultivation of subject literacy,among which regional cognitive literacy has a strong correlation with research travel,through which students’ regional cognitive literacy can be better cultivated.In Luoyang,the education and teaching reform has been carried out since2020,and the construction of the research travel system has been vigorously promoted,however,due to the relatively short period of time it has taken to carry out,it has been constrained by various factors in the development and implementation of the curriculum and has been ineffective.Therefore,this study takes Luoyang City as an example to explore the teaching design of high school geography research travel with the goal of cultivating regional cognitive literacy.This study first uses the literature research method to sort out the current status of research on regional cognitive literacy and research travel,related concepts and theoretical foundations at home and abroad,and to analyse the correlation between regional cognition and research travel.Then,using questionnaires and interviews,300 students and 8 geography teachers from two high schools in Luoyang City were surveyed and interviewed to understand the current situation of teaching and learning travel in high school geography based on the cultivation of regional cognitive literacy.Through the analysis of the survey data,it is found that teachers and students have a high degree of interest in research travel,and generally believe that carrying out research travel can help improve students’ regional cognitive literacy,however,there are more problems with the current high school geography research travel in Luoyang,and there is more room for improvement.Based on the above problems,this study proposes the design requirements of high school geography research travel teaching based on regional cognitive literacy cultivation from three aspects: design principles,design strategies and design processes,and selects six research travel bases that can represent the natural and humanistic geographic features of Luoyang City,such as Luoyang National University Science and Technology Park,Yellow River Xiaolangdi,Laojun Mountain and Jiguan Cave,and designs a research travel teaching case with the objective of cultivating students’ regional cognitive literacy,the aim is to strengthen high school students’ regional cognition of their hometowns,as well as to expand new perspectives on geography research and provide references and lessons for the teaching design of high school geography research travel. |
