The ability of mathematical representation and transformation is an important par t of students' mathematics core competence.It is one of the core competence that attra cts much attention in the international mathematics curriculum.A large number of stud ies show that mathematical representation and transformation ability and multi-representations of mathematics play important roles in students' mathematical learnin g and problem solving.They are also important factors affecting their further learning of algebra and geometry.The 2017 edition of China's general high school mathematic s curriculum standards points out that the line of geometry and algebra is the one of main lines of high school mathematics curriculum,and our teaching should help stude nts understand the relationship between mathematical knowledge and enhance the und erstanding of the integrity of mathematics through the combination of number and sha pe.The plane vector is main one of the important contents of geometry and algebra,an d the fundamental theorem of plane vector is the core of the whole plane vector theory,but also contains the multiple forms of representation,so it is a good vehicle for stud ents to cultivate the ability of mathematical representation and transformation and the core mathematics literacy.Up to now,many researchers have conducted teaching research on it from different perspectives,but the teaching based on learning mathema tics with multi-representations needs further research.Based on this,this study attemp-ts according to the theorem of multi-representations of mathematics,to reexamine the fundamental theorem of plane vector and explore the teaching principles and teaching design of it.Than we will test its instruction value through teaching practice,in order to provide some new ideas and experience for the teaching under the line of geometry and algebra.This research adopts the research paradigm of combining theory and practice.Firstly,this paper uses the literature-researching method to analyze the relevant theories of multi-representation of mathematics and the related research on the teaching of the fundamental theorem of plane vector,formulates the teaching objectives and strategies of the fundamental theorem of plane vector based on the multi-representation of mathematics,and then constructs the teaching design of it.Secondly,based on the theoretical research of mathematical representation and conversion ability,the paper designs relevant test questions,in order to measure the learning effect and mathematical representation ability of students by means of test investigation.Finally,the teaching experiment method is used to apply the multi-representation teaching of the fundamental theorem of plane vector to the actual teaching,and the cognitive load,learning effect and mathematical representation and conversion ability of the students after the teaching are studied and analyzed by combining with the test investigation method.Experimental research shows that the teaching principle and design of the fundamental theorem of plane vector-based on the multi-representation of mathe-matics is more helpful to reduce students' cognitive load,improve their learning effect and promote the development of students' mathematical representation and transfor-mation ability.
