Art appreciation is an important content and component of children's art education and plays an important role in developing children's artistic potential and improving children's comprehensive artistic literacy.However,the existing research on the characteristics of children's art appreciation is not systematic and in-depth,and pays less attention to children's perspective.Based on these reasons,the research selecte 30 children in X kindergarten senior class as the research object,and take the classic painting works of master as the medium to study the characteristics of children's art appreciation in senior class.The research mainly adopts the interview methods to have a one-to-one conversations with young children,and adopt the observation method and work analysis method and other methods as auxiliary.Finally,the 90 valid qualitative interview materials and 49 children's drawings are collected and analyzed qualitatively.It is found that young children not only have a perceptual grasp of the theme,image,background and emotion of art works,but also have a unique understanding of the lines,color,painting techniques and composition of art works,which is different from adults and full of perceptual color.Children's overall perception of art works is delicate and keen.Based on the children's existing life experience and rich imagination,they have constructed a colorful,concrete and meaningful world in the process of dialogue with art works,which has a greater fit with the original meaning of art works.In addition,the research also found that children are not irregular when constructing the meaning word.Researchers have sorted out the clue of the meaning world of children's construction from the aspects of specific content of the works,their overall feelings about the works,and their emotional experience,"Dialogue" is the main method of children's art appreciation,but there are various ways of dialogue between children and art works.The research have found that children mainly use painting,singing,body movement,story writing,poetry,and more rational methods to dialogue with the art works.Based on the above analysis,the research holds that children have the potential and talent of art appreciation completely;the understanding of children to art works is intuitive and perceptual;the ways of dialogue between young children and fine art works are diverse and unique;children construct a rich and colorful world of meaning in the process of dialogue with art works;there are individual differences in children's perception of art works.Finally,from the perspective of teachers,the study puts forward the following suggestions on the art appreciation education of children in senior classes:fully appreciating the potential of children's art appreciation;facing up to children's aesthetic intuition of art works;encouraging children to have multiple dialogues between children and art works;affirming the legitimacy of children's interpretation of art works;and respecting children's differences in their feelings about art works.
