The primary stage is the beginning and basic stage of the nine-year compulsory education.It is also the key period for students to develop good behaviors and build a healthy body."Physical Education and Health Curriculum" plays an irreplaceable role in promoting students' physical and mental health because it is different from other subjects in that physical exercises are the main means.Primary PE teachers are the main implementers of Physical Education and Health Curriculum.Teaching ability is the basic ability.Research on primary school PE teachers' teaching ability can help those PE teachers who are in the front line of education to improve classroom teaching effects and help students grow healthily.This research mainly adopts the methods of documentation,questionnaire,interview and logical analysis to investigate the current situation of primary PE teachers 'teaching ability in Xiangcheng District,which mainly includes teachers' basic information and teaching design ability(before class),teaching implementation ability(in class),teaching feedback ability(after class),teaching research ability(theory)and teaching competition ability(practice).After analyzing the status of primary PE teachers' teaching ability in Xiangcheng District,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)In terms of the basic situation,primary PE teachers in Xiangcheng District are mainly male teachers.The age structure and educational background are good but the number of weekly exercises is small,and the proficiency of motor skills is low.(2)In terms of the pre-class teaching design ability,93.7%of primary PE teachers in Xiangcheng District can follow the principle of "No preparation,no class",but the consciousness and ability of innovation is weak,and the quality of teaching design needs to be improved.(3)In terms of the in-class teaching implementation ability,primary PE teachers in Xiangcheng District have a good use of teaching methods and are able to conduct regular teaching,but the grasp of students' physical and mental characteristics needs to be strengthened.(4)In terms of the after-class teaching feedback ability,primary PE teachers in Xiangcheng District basically write summary after class and have a strong sense of teaching reflection,but the method is single and the teaching evaluation is too subjective.(5)In terms of the teaching and scientific research ability,the enthusiasm for teaching and scientific research of Primary PE teachers in Xiangcheng District is not high.The teaching and scientific research is mainly for the purpose of applying for higher-level titles and completing school tasks.(6)In terms of the teaching competition ability,the match levels of Primary PE teachers in Xiangcheng District are mainly district-level and school-level.The higher level of match,the fewer number of winners,the fewer winner of the first and first prizes.Based on the above,the following suggestions are made:(1)Comprehensive development countermeasuresAssessments of sports professional knowledge and skills should be carried out regularly and an assessment mechanism should be made and assessment contents should be adjusted in a timely manner;Establish a professional teacher post-work training department,improve the training system,and achieve "one-on-one" precision training;Standardize the performance-evaluation system,publish the details of the evaluation,and be impartial,fair and open.(2)Targeted development countermeasuresOptimize the teaching capacity of primary PE teachers in Xiangcheng District;Pay more attention to teaching design and improve design quality;Grasp the physical and mental characteristics of students and implement teaching scientifically and reasonably;Write a summary after class in a timely manner,reflect actively,and make a comprehensive evaluation;Write more high-quality papers and actively participate in research projects;Increase the frequency of match participation and the level of match.
