In 2018,China promulgated the Standards for General Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum(2017 Edition)(hereinafter referred to as the "Standards"),which proposed the cultivation of six core mathematical literacy including students' arithmetic literacy.Among them, mathematical literacy has a wide range of basic characteristics and is one of the important components of core literacy.Based on the "mathematical operation" perspective, this article studies the teaching of probability statistics in high school.Probability statistics need to analyse the data on the basis of effective collation of the data.In the process,a large number of mathematical operations must be completed. The process and conclusions of mathematical operations affect the final conclusions and judgments of the problem of probability and statistics. Therefore, the idea of researching the teaching of probability and statistics in high school based on the perspective of 'mathematical operations' has emerged. Then, how to carry out the teaching of probability and statistics from the perspective of mathematical operation, and solve the problem of students' frequent operation errors in the teaching of probability and statistics is exactly what this article is going to study. In the research, four research methods were adopted: literature method, survey method, interview and classroom observation.Understand the relevant content of high school probability statistics and teaching through the literature method. On this basis, for the background of the research, the relevant theory has a deeper understanding, and finding a blank point of research is also an innovation point.Through the survey method and classroom observation method, the knowledge and attitude of senior high school students on probability and statistics have laid a practical foundation for this research at this stage.Through interviews, frontline teachers of probability and statistics teaching conducted “multi-level,multi-angle,and multi-faceted” probability and statistics teaching are interviewed on related issues,to better understand the current teaching situation of probability and statistics and the problems.Based on the test results, interview records, and observations and reflections of practical lessons,it is found that students' computing problems in the teaching of probability and statistics are almost universal.Based on the analysis of the surveyresults, five key elements of high school probability and statistics teaching from the perspective of mathematical operations are proposed : the ability to turn probabilistic and statistical problems into computational problems;the degree of understanding and mastery of theorems, formulas and rules in probability and statistics;the summary and reflection effects of computational problems;the practice and feedback of probabilistic and statistical computing problems, good computing habits formation.Aiming at the key elements in the teaching of probability and statistics, teachers should guide students in teaching to learn how to accurately convert probabilistic and statistical problems into mathematical operation problems, clarify the operation objects, and derive and demonstrate the generation of probability models and statistical related formula theorems. The root cause of the problems in the calculation process is effectively summarized and reflected.Through the follow-up practice and continuous feedback, the calculation problems in the teaching of probability and statistics are fundamentally solved. In the process, students' good calculation habits are cultivated, and positive principles are gradually formed. And the directional effects are gradually formed to promote the teaching of probability and statistics.
