The comparative study of history textbooks in mainland China and Taiwan has always been a hot topic in the field of history teaching and research in middle schools.In the development of 30 years,history textbooks in Taiwan have undergone great changes in terms of compilation style and content presentation.In the new round of high school curriculum reform,the history textbooks in mainland China have also undergone great changes in the writing style,teaching content and learning requirements.This paper is in the middle school gradually uses the unified edition high school history textbook under the background,takes the mainland unified edition history textbook and the Taiwan academician edition high school history textbook as an example,carries on the comparative study to the cross-strait history textbook Chinese modern history part.While deepening the treatment of high school history textbooks,we hope to get some useful enlightenment in the aspects of learning requirements.This paper is mainly divided into four parts:The first part compares the overall structure of the history textbooks of the two sides of the Taiwan straits,respectively from the aspects of historical view,time arrangement,content arrangement and political standpoint.The second part makes a concrete comparison between the basic historical facts of the modern and contemporary history of China in the two versions of textbooks on both sides of the Taiwan straits.This paper will select the representative historical events in China's modern and contemporary history,such as the old democratic revolution,the new democratic revolution,the relations between the Kuomintang and the communist party,the war of resistance against Japan,the reform and opening up and the relations between the two sides of the Taiwan straits,and make a comparison from two aspects of historical statement and historical evaluation.In the third part,the author analyzes the differences between the two versions of textbooks from the aspects of ideology,culture and politics.The fourth part compares the two versions of history teaching from three aspects of teaching arrangement,teaching content and after-class consolidation,and puts forward corresponding Suggestions for the history teaching of high schools on both sides of the Taiwan straits.The innovation of this paper lies in that it takes the unified edition of high school history textbook as the model and compares it with the textbook of Taiwan academician edition from the perspective of its content,so as to obtain the reference in the processing of teaching materials.At the same time,there are some shortcomings in this paper.For example,only one version of Taiwan history textbook is selected as the reference object,and the research scope is relatively narrow.The lack of primary information and the author's own lack of experience.
