"The Professional Standard of Principal in Compulsory Education Schools" clearly states that the principal is a professional who perf orms the duties of school leadership and management,and has six prof essional duties,among which the teaching of leadership courses is a basic professional responsibility of the principal.As a component of principal leadership,principal curriculum leadership is a core elem ent to determine the quality of school curriculum teaching,which pla ys an important role in the development of schools and has attracted more and more attention.The research on the current situation of pri ncipal's curriculum leadership in compulsory education schools is hel pful to understand the current situation and provide a strong basis f or the promotion of principal's curriculum leadership.This paper mainly adopts questionnaire survey method and in-depth interview method,based on literature review,professional standard interpretation,principal discussion and expert guidance,defines the curriculum leadership and its dimensions of principals in compulsory education schools,and self-compiles and perfects the questionnaire and interview outline.With the help of the advanced training class o f the "Principal's National Training Program" undertaken by many uni versities in Hunan Province,a total of 700 questionnaires were distr ibuted,694 valid questionnaires were collected and 10 compulsory sch ool principals were selected for in-depth interviews.Through the ana lysis of the overall level of leadership,the project level,the diff erence analysis and the result discussion of the compulsory school pr incipal's curriculum,the research finds that: Curriculum leadership of school principals is generally in the upper secondary level,whic h is inseparable from the personal career growth experience of schoolprincipals,the guidance and guarantee of laws and regulations syste m;there are obvious dimensional differences in curriculum leadership of compulsory school principals,which are highlighted as "strong o rganization implementation,weak program design" ,which is caused by the different characteristics of curriculum organization and curricul um design of compulsory school;curriculum leadership of compulsory s chool principals has the variable influence of many factors,such as gender,age,academic background,school size and school location,or is attributed to the difference between urban and rural education.Synthesizing above research conclusion,this paper puts forward targeted policy suggestion and path strategy from three aspects of ed ucation administration department,principal individual and principal training.The administrative department of education should carry ou t the autonomy of school curriculum and perfect the long-term mechani sm of helping in pairs;the principal should change the concept of cu rriculum leadership and establish a community of curriculum leadershi p;the principal training should strengthen the study of curriculum k nowledge and pay attention to the training of curriculum design.Thro ugh the combined action of trinity,we can realize the "empowerment" and "empowerment" in the real sense,so as to effectively enhance t he curriculum leadership of the principals of compulsory education sc hools and further promote the curriculum reform of basic education.
