In recent years,more and more college students tend to spend their college life meaninglessly and without personal gain,which demonstrates the lack of humanistic education in universities.Universities,as education centers,have neglected the students themselves and the humanistic value of the curriculum in curriculum design and objectives,and in practice as well.This is mainly attributable to their misconceptions towards the value orientation of the curriculum.From the perspective of curriculum value orientation,this study sheds light on the absence of humanistic value in college curriculum and its reasons through methods of literature research and text analysis.On this basis,the study also put forward possible solutions.Firstly,through literature review,the study sets up a framework for analyzing curriculum value orientation,that is the reflection of individuals and society in curriculum design and objectives as well as in practice,and the conflicts and correlations between these two orientations.Secondly,based on the text analysis of the talents cultivation programme formulated by a number of universities,the study provides insights into the current issues in university curriculum.For example,students' all-round development and spiritual enrichment are neglected,and the line between general and professional courses is too definite,etc.At the same time,the study also points out the reasons for the inaccuratecurriculum value orientation from the perspectives of curriculum value,school education,and social and historical traditions.Thirdly,with people's all-round development as the theoretical basis,this study provides solutions to the conflicts in curriculum value,which is to focus on the humanistic view,and to integrate both individual and social orientations in university curriculum,so as to form a harmonized orientation.The study also gives a detailed elaboration to the connotation,features and significance of this orientation.Finally,the study made a positive exploration on how to achieve the harmonized orientation in practice,which is to prioritize students' all-round development in curriculum objectives,emphasize humanistic value of the course content,and show humanistic view in real practice.By analyzing the current misconceptions that universities hold towards curriculum value orientation,the study put forth a harmonized orientation guided by the humanistic view,and probe into its realization in practice,which bear great significance,both in theory and practice,to the study of the value of university curriculum.
