The secondary vocational education got rapid development under the vigorous support of our country,which also has formed the pivotal position with the great demand of professionals in the process of social and economic development.As a secondary vocational school teacher,I found that the special phenomenon of single parent,recombination and left-behind in the family structure of secondary vocational students is quite common.There are also a lot of behavioral problems such as slacking,fighting,smoking,and lack of motivation among the students.So it is speculated that the family structure may influence the students' coping style.Then what might be the underlying mechanism for this effect?This study is divided into two stages: the first stage explores the relationship between the family structure and coping style of secondary vocational students,and investigates the mediating effect of general self-efficacy;The second stage further explores the mediating role of the subjective family socioeconomic status and parental rearing style between the family structure and the general self-efficacy of secondary vocational students.In the first study,1000 students from Chongqing industrial and commercial school were surveyed by using the self-compiled questionnaire on family structure of secondary vocational students,the General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES),and the Simple Coping Style Scale(SCSQ).The results showed that:Family structure and self-efficacy,family structure and coping style were both significantly correlated.Comparatively speaking,students with general family structure have higher self-efficacy and more positive coping style.General self-efficacy is positively correlated with the tendency of positive coping and total coping in the simple coping style.In other words,the higher the generalself-efficacy,the higher the score of positive coping,and the more positive the overall coping tendencyGeneral self-efficacy can mediate the influence of family structure on coping style.In the second study,The self-compiled questionnaire on family structure of secondary vocational students.The Subjective Social-economic Status Scale for Adolescents(SSS-A),the short-form Egna Minnen av Barndoms Uppfostran for Chinese(s-EMBU-C)and the General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)were used to investigate 500 students from Chongqing industrial and commercial school,and 446 valid questionnaires were collected.The results showed that:Family structure has no significant influence on the subjective social-economic status of secondary vocational students;There is no significant correlation between the family structure and the father rejection in parental rearing style,but there was a significant negative correlation with mother's rejection,father's emotional warmth,mother's emotional warmth,father's over protection and mother's over protection.The emotional warmth of parents plays an intermediary role in the influence of family structure on general self-efficacy.The chain mediating effect can be preliminarily constructed,from the mediating effect results of research 1 and 2,that is to say the family structure will affect the emotional warmth given by parents to students,affect the general self-efficacy of students,and even the coping style.The family structure ? parents' emotional warmth ? students' general self-efficacy ? students' coping style.The specific influence effects can be further confirmed because there is no data of coping mode in the study two.Suggestions,pay attention to family education,provide students with a reasonable family environment,provide students with more sense of security from the family.Parents' contact,behavior habits should set good examples to students,subtly improve students' sense of self-efficacy and encourage students to actively deal with social events.The parents of special family structure should accompany the students as much as possible,provide sufficient emotional warmth for the students,so as toimprove the students' general sense of self-efficacy.In the process of family and school education,a platform should be provided for students to achieve themselves,to have a better expression ability with what they have learned,so as to they can get enough confidence from more ways.Attach great importance to students' objective and reasonable self-cognition and avoid blind self-evaluation.
