To carry out mental health education is the need of the rapid development of modern society,and also an important channel to improve the quality of education.In the past two decades,mental health education in primary and secondary schools in China has developed rapidly and achieved remarkable results.However,compared with Europe and the United States,which started earlier,there is still a large gap.In the new era,the party and the state put forward new strategies for mental health education.In order to make further breakthroughs in mental health education in primary and secondary schools,it is particularly important to improve the professional ability and level of teachers.Based on the interpretation of relevant policies,this study summarizes the existing research results,aiming to provide direction and suggestions for the current professional development of primary school mental health education teachers.In this study,the author consulted a large number of literature to obtain the theoretical basis of the study,namely,the theory of self-management and the theory of teachers' professional development stage.A self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the mental health education teachers of primary schools in the urban area of W city.156 valid questionnaires were collected.Among them,the investigation of teachers' professional development mainly includes: psychological professional knowledge,professional concept of mental health education,psychological consultation and counseling ability,teachers' own professional attitude and motivation,professional development approach,external support for professional development,etc.Based on the analysis of the data collected by the questionnaire and the current situation of the professional development described by the interviewing primary school mental health education teachers,this paper sums up the existing problems,which are mainly in six aspects: incomplete professional knowledge,lack of psychological guidance skills;insufficient awareness of professional growth,lack of development planning;insufficient awareness of reflection,weak research ability of mental health education;work The pressure is heavy,the assessment and evaluation is fuzzy;the professional training system is single,the professional title assessment is lack of norms;the lack of professional guidance,professional growth is lack of scientific ways.Inview of the existing problems,this paper analyzes the reasons from three aspects:teachers themselves,schools and educational administrative departments,and puts forward feasible strategies to promote their professional development.Based on the above research findings,this paper puts forward three countermeasures for the professional development of mental health education teachers in primary schools in the urban area of W city.First of all,from the aspect of teachers themselves,it is necessary to strengthen the autonomy and consciousness of professional development.There are four ways to improve: to improve professional knowledge and psychological guidance ability;to enhance professional growth awareness and plan development goals;to pay attention to reflection awareness and strengthen education Scientific research;give full play to the advantages of urban areas,and do a good job in professional role positioning.Secondly,from the school level,to optimize the environment and condition support,there are four points: first,to attach importance to professional autonomy,to stabilize the full-time team;second,to strengthen the support and guidance,to attach importance to professional publicity;third,to refine the assessment standards,to establish a management mechanism;fourth,to stimulate the wisdom of the team,to establish a professional growth community.Finally,the administrative department of education should strengthen policy guidance and professional guidance,improve the training mechanism,standardize the standards of evaluation and employment,strengthen the evaluation of work management,promote professional development,expand the channels of university cooperation,and form a case supervision system.
