| The stage of elementary, junior and high schools is a particularly important period of development of the psychology and physiology of students, and it is also a critical period for students to form healthy personality.Mental health education in primary and secondary schools is an important way to promote the healthy growth of primary and secondary school students. At this stage,if primary and secondary schools can not effectively carry out mental health education to help and solve the psychological problems in the process of students ’ growth and development,it will not only affect the healthy growth of students, but also easily form bad personality. However,in reality, some primary and secondary schools still focus on students ’ scores, ignoring students ’mental health, resulting in many extreme events caused by psychological problems, resulting in adverse social impact. To this end,the state has successively promulgated and issued a series of policies and documents on mental health education in schools in the past two decades to further scientifically guide and standardize mental health education in primary and secondary schools and promote the in-depth development and comprehensive popularization of mental health education. The current state of psychological health education in elementary, junior and high schools is largely homogeneous.and in order to facilitate sampling, this study selected elementary, junior and high schools in S District of N City for a more comprehensive and in-depth investigation and research, explored and analyzed its existing problems and deficiencies, and proposed targeted solutions to effectively improve the mental health literacy and level of primary and secondary school students. The S District of N City is a new third-tier city with three higher education institutions and edified by ’ education culture ’.The education industry is booming, laying a solid foundation for the construction of a modern regional central city. The development of psychological health education in elementary, junior and high schools in N City S District is unbalanced. There are schools with mental health education characteristics, and there are also schools where mental health education is not carried out..This study is divided into two parts. In the first study, the purpose is to verify whether the research hypothesis that the degree of attention to mental health education in primary and secondary schools is significantly correlated with the mental health level of primary and secondary school students is valid.Using a random stratified sampling method, six school administrators and 1200 students from six elementary, junior and high schools in District S of N were selected as the subjects of the study.Using a self-edited questionnaire, the administrators of the six schools were interviewed to find out how much importance the schools attached to mental health education work;the Mental Health Diagnostic Test(MHT Scale)was used to assess the mental health level of 1200 of these students. The results show that :(1)There are differences in the importance of mental health education in 6 primary and secondary schools in S district of N city.Specifically,2 schools attach importance to mental health education,2 schools generally attach importance to it,and 2 schools do not attach importance to it.(2)The psychological health of elementary, junior and high school students in N City S Ward is generally good, but there are still 9 % of students have serious psychological problems, mainly in learning anxiety.(3)The mental health level of primary and middle school students in S district of N city is significantly different in demographic variables. In terms of gender, except for loneliness tendency, the average score of girls in other dimensions is significantly higher than that of boys.In the dimension of self-blame tendency, the scores of primary and junior high school students were significantly higher than those of high school students. In the dimension of allergic tendency, the scores of junior high school and senior high school were significantly higher than those of primary school;in the dimension of terror tendency, the score of primary school is significantly higher than that of junior high school, and there is no significant difference in other dimensions.(4)The degree of attention to mental health education in primary and secondary schools is significantly correlated with the mental health level of primary and secondary school students,as shown by the fact that the higher the degree of importance attached to schools, the better the level of mental health of students.Study 2 investigates the current state of psychological health education in elementary, junior and high schools in N City S Ward, explores existing questions, and proposes countermeasures.Due to the impact of the New Crown epidemic, some schools in the district were not allowed to conduct relevant surveys, and because of the large workload of the survey and research,a random stratified sampling method was adopted to select 22 school administrators,34 full-time and part-time mental health education teachers and 1200 students from 22 primary and secondary schools in the district(including the six schools in Study 1)as research subjects. The research was conducted on school administrators and full-time and part-time mental health education teachers using the self-edited Questionnaire on the Current Situation of Mental Health Education in Primary and Secondary Schools. The research covered the leadership and management of mental health education work by education administration departments and schools,as well as the specific implementation of mental health education work in schools. The survey found that the mental health education work in S District of N City mainly has the following problems :(1)Insufficient awareness of the importance and necessity of mental health education work by education administrations and school managers;(2)Inadequate professionalism and number of mental health education teachers;(3)The construction of mental health education teachers ’ teaching staff lacks relevant guarantee mechanism, and the teachers ’ role identity is low;(4)The function of psychological counseling room is not well played;(5)Inadequate mechanism for home-school cooperation in mental health education;(6)Mental health education research strength is insufficient, the teaching and research system is not perfect. Finally,The study proposes countermeasure:(1)Improve the setting of school mental health education management institutions and improve the efficiency of mental health education;(2)The implementation of full participation in mental health education and training, establish a correct concept of mental health education;(3)Strengthen the development of psychological and health education teachers and enhance the identity of teachers;(4)Optimize the function construction of psychological counseling room;(5)Enriching the ways of home-school cooperation in mental health education;(6)Improve the scientific research level of mental health education and promote the standardization of mental health education. |
