Research On Parent's Satisfaction On Compulsory Education In Yan'an

In of the context of China entering into a new era,the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics entering into a new phase,and the construction of a well-off society in an all-round way entering into a critical period,whether for the Party's National Congress,the national medium-and long-term development plan,or the annual people's congress,they will take "do a good job in promoting people' satisfaction in education","improve the quality of education" and "promote education equity" as the value orientation and fundamental goal for education reform and development in China.The providing of compulsory education services is the duty of the government stipulated by law.Investigating the satisfaction of parents for compulsory education,understanding the level of public satisfaction with the government,schools and teachers' work,will not only be conducive to the understand of current situation of the development of compulsory education in certain areas,but also to find out the dissatisfaction point among public,as well as lay a solid foundation for government and schools to find the right direction,and strive to promote education satisfaction.Yan'an City in Shaanxi province is located in the northwest inland of China,the economic development here is relatively backward.As China's red revolutionary holy site,Yan'an has been the party and the government's cordial concern.Understanding the satisfaction status of compulsory education in the region,exploring the causes of problem,and making policies in a target manner is very necessary.Based on the relevant policies,combined with local situations,in this paper,an investigation into the satisfaction level of local compulsory education was conducted with the following research work:1.The evaluation index system of parents' satisfaction level for compulsory education in Yan'an City was constructed.Based on the review of relevant research at home and abroad,under the guidance of the theory of customer satisfaction,new public management theory and educational equity,combined with relevant policies and local actual conditions,the index system forevaluating the parents' satisfaction of compulsory education in Yan'an City is initially constructed.After group discussion,expert demonstration and pre-survey,the initial selection of evaluation indicators was integrated,and the evaluation index system for parents' satisfaction of compulsory education in Yan'an City was finally established.The index system consists of four dimensions,namely,the government responsibility dimension,the school management dimension,the teacher capability dimension and the teaching effect dimension.Then taking the parents of students in the compulsory education stage as the object of questionnaire,according to the measurement of each dimension of the questionnaire,a total of 850 questionnaires was received,where there were 791 valid questionnaires,with an efficiency of 87%,and analysis showed that the questionnaire integrity is good.2.The status quo of parents' satisfaction in compulsory education in Yan'an was revealedUsing SPSS22.0 statistical analysis software,in this paper,the status quo of parents' satisfaction in compulsory education in Yan'an City was reveal through descriptive analysis,variance analysis,and related analysis method,and the results showed that:(1)The overall satisfaction level was between "satisfactory" and "relatively satisfactory",the satisfaction level of government responsibility dimension was the lowest,and the satisfaction level of the teachers' capability was the highest.Specifically,in the dimension of government responsibility,parents were the highest satisfied with the government's measures to ensure the admission of school-age students,and the least satisfied with the measures of the government's campus environment governance;in the school management dimension,parents had the highest satisfaction level with the discipline regulations established by the school,and the lowest satisfaction with students' extracurricular practical activities;in the dimension of the teachers' s capability,parents were the most satisfied with the teaching effect of teachers,and the least satisfied with the way teachers deal with student errors;in the education effect dimension,parents were most satisfied with their children's physical health at the current stage,and least satisfied with their children's progress in learning habits.(2)The level of parental satisfaction was obtained through variance analysis,and there were significant differences in some individual factors(identity,age,education,occupation,income).Specifically,parents ofdifferent identities had different levels of satisfaction,the other parents of the child had the lowest satisfaction,and the mother of the child has the highest satisfaction;Parents of different ages have different levels of satisfaction,with the highest level of satisfaction among parents aged 35 and under,and parents with different levels of education have different levels of satisfaction,and the higher the level of parent's education,the lower the level of satisfaction of them.The level of parental satisfaction in different occupations was different,the most dissatisfied were the skilled personnel,and the most satisfaction were the farmers;parents with different levels of income had different levels of satisfaction,and the higher the income,the lower the satisfaction of parents.3.Based on the analysis of the problems and the causes,suggestions to improve the satisfaction of parents in compulsory education in Yan'an City were proposedThrough the above-mentioned data analysis of the satisfaction status quo,subjective topics and field visits and other forms,the analysis of the problems and causes of compulsory education in Yan'an City was conducted,including:(1)The investment of educational resources is unreasonable.(2)There is a weak government supervision.(3)The educational evaluation system is not perfect.(4)The difference between urban and rural areas of high-quality teacher resources is large.(5)Parents' education concept is backward.Suggestions for increasing satisfaction include:(1)Accelerate the balanced development of education and promote educational equity.(2)Strengthen the supervision of education and optimize the educational environment.(3)Reform the evaluation system of compulsory education and further promote the implementation of quality education.(4)Improve the management mechanism of teachers and build a high-level teachers' team.(5)Change the concept of education,advocate the co-education of home schools.The above suggestion is hope to contribute to the educational development of Yan'an,Shaanxi Province.
