In the context of the rapid development of information technology,every technology update that people experience has changed people's mode of production and lifestyle.With the technological innovation and industrial upgrading brought by advanced technology,traditional manufacturing has been strongly impacted by intelligent production methods,and human production has gradually been replaced by machines.In the future,the competition between people and machines will pursue innovation ability rather than manufacturing ability.As the largest manufacturing country in the world,China has also followed the wave of the world into the pursuit of national innovation capabilities.When discussing the development prospects of China's manufacturing industry,General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward "three transformations".Turning Made-In-China into Creart-In-China,turning China Speed into China Quality,turning China Product into China Brand.These three changes clearly point out that relying on technological innovation can revitalize manufacturing.In 2015,Premier Li Keqiang proposed in the government work report that “ mass entrepreneurship and innovation”have also set off a wave of innovative education in basic education.In this upsurge of innovative education,STEAM education has emerged and gained popularity in China.STEAM education is an internationally popular educational concept.It is different from the traditional single-disciplinary and book-based education.It advocates the interdisciplinary integration of S(science),T(technology),E(engineering)and M(mathematics),guided by real problems in real life,advocate students to collect STEM related knowledge and apply knowledge to solve these problems.People later added A(art)to STEM to make it more comprehensive.STEAM innovative education aims to develop children's multidisciplinary integration skills from basic education.Use STEAM's unique education model to increase practicalopportunities and help them better understandthe natural world and grow into innovative future talents.This paper investigates the current situation of basic education and capacity-training in China under the background of STEAM education,according to the shortcomings of traditional education mode in training students' multidisciplinary integration ability,this paper puts forward the implementation strategy of STEAM teaching.Taking Science and Physics as the main disciplines,combing the knowledge fusion points of other disciplines,applied to the STEAM class.This paper expounds the advantages of STEAM education mode in training students' multidisciplinary integration ability compared with traditional education by using literature method,comparative experiment method,case analysis and evaluation index.The Ministry of Education of China has localized the concept of STEAM in 2017.STEAM in China emphasizes more on interdisciplinary and project-based learning.Its purpose is to develop students' multidisciplinary integration ability,innovation ability and practical ability,and students can solve practical problems by themselves.
