The competition in the 21 st century is the competition of talents,In order to cultivate talents in line with the world development requirements,the educational concept should keep up with the trend of The Times and conform to the social development trend.STEAM education is a collection of Science,Technology,Engineering,Arts and Mathematics in one.It is a discipline integration education concept that integrates scientific thinking,technical knowledge,engineering technology,artistic literacy and mathematical thinking.Its predecessor is STEM education.It advocates ' interpreting science and technology through engineering and art based on mathematics ',It is an effective educational concept to promote the attainment of teaching objectives,improve the current teaching situation and conform to the educational development trend of the times.On the basis of summarizing domestic and foreign researches on STEAM education,the research development of education with constructivism,humanism and the theory of multiple intelligence theory as the foundation,to define the concept of STEAM education,designed the ' based on STEAM high school chemistry teaching status quo of education student questionnaire ',and the rich experience of high school chemistry teacher interviews,to understand STEAM education in chemistry teaching in high school to carry out the situation.The results show that both teachers and students have some understanding of STEAM education and agree on the necessity and importance of conducting STEAM education.However,due to teaching resources,teaching equipment and teaching time,the development situation of STEAM education in actual teaching is not optimistic.Based on the investigation of the current situation of teaching,after a further understanding of STEAM education,this paper analyzes the teaching materials of Ordinary high school chemistry curriculum standards(2017 edition)and Chemistry(2019 edition)in Luke version high school,On this basis,from the four dimensions of the effective development of STEAM education in high school chemistry teaching are constructed from four dimensions : the formulation of teaching objectives,the choice of teaching content,the choice of teaching methods and the way of teaching evaluation.Starting from the production content and chemical factual knowledge of the typical chemical industry in high school chemistry,two topics of ' industrial synthetic ammonia ' and ' coal distillation and benzene ' were selected.The above teaching strategies based on STEAM education were applied to the teaching design of specific topics,and a systematic teaching design scheme was formed.The results show that chemistry teaching based on STEAM education concept can promote students 'understanding,mastery and application of knowledge,cultivate students 'comprehensive development of literacy and improve students ' comprehensive ability.It is hoped that this study can provide reference for chemistry teachers to better carry out STEAM education.
