As a part of junior middle school mathematics curriculum reform,Comprehensive Practice Course was formally added to the Junior Middle School Textbooks in 2001,presenting a new kind of content and teaching method to both teachers and students. The implementation of this course not only needs the guidance teachers based on the situation of real problems, but also needs the students to experie nce the whole process of finding problems, constructing models, analyzing models, and solving the problems based on the mathematical knowledge they have learned. This new kind of course challenges students' ability to think independently and cooperate with others,as well as the ability to create together. At the same time,it benefits students for their abstract thinking, logical thinking, creation, and application ability. Thus, the importance of researching and practicing on comprehensive practice course is obvious. In this paper,200 students and 43 teachers from a municipal middle school in Chengdu were selected as the questionnaire and interview subjects to understand the current situation of the implementation of the comprehensive practice course in Beijing normal university,as well as the thoughts and suggestions of teachers and students on the course.Through thinking about how to better improve the teaching of the comprehensive and practical curriculum,it provides an important guarantee for the sustainable growth of the curriculum. This paper finds that teachers and students have a high understanding ofcomprehensive practical courses, but little practical operation. Therefore,in order to enhance the attention of teachers and students on this course, this paper sorts out all the contents of the comprehensive and practical course of Beijing normal university and lists two practical teaching cases and feasible teaching strategies.
