The communication between peers is the main body of interpersonal relationship of junior middle school students.The relationship between peers has an important influence on the study and the development of mental health of junior middle school students.Peer Counseling in junior high school will provide favorable conditions for all students to grow up with healthy psychology.At present,the practice and exploration of peer counseling in China are mainly concentrated in colleges and universities,but few in primary and middle schools.In the present research,most of them are on the feasibility of peer counseling in middle school.Many peer counselors are on the job without systematic selection and training,which greatly reduces the effect of peer counseling.The establishment of the selection and training mode of peer counselors can standardize the construction of peer counselors in middle schools,make up for the lack of professional psychological personnel,and make it a real important force of mental health education in middle schools.At the same time,it enriches the activity mode of mental health education in middle school,and lays the foundation for forming the atmosphere of mutual help among peers in middle school.Based on the theory of Peer Counseling,the selection criteria,procedures,training contents and forms of peer counselors were determined,and the selection and training plan for peer counselors in junior middle school was formulated and implemented.By means of self-made questionnaire,open-ended questionnaire and individual interview,48 junior middle school students who volunteered for the study were selected as subjects,19 students(4 boys and 15 girls)were selected to attend the training by means of questionnaire evaluation and content analysis,and the trainingeffect was tested by pre-and post-questionnaire paired t-test and open-ended questionnaire survey,this paper probes into the selection and training mode of peer counselors in boarding schools of junior middle school.The results show that:(1)training the trainees in different stages according to their grades and types of guidance problems,the model of selecting and Training Peer Counselors in junior high school has certain reference value to standardize the peer counselors.(2)the self-rating questionnaire for junior middle school students includes four dimensions: psychological quality,time planning,earning ability and skill level.The Cronbach coefficient of the questionnaire is 0.873,and the reliability of the retest is0.545-0.684.The reliability and validity of the questionnaire are good.(3)Peer Support Behavior Analysis found that peer counseling is feasible in junior high school,but peer counselors must be selected and trained to enter the work.(4)the results of paired t-test showed that there were significant differences between pre-test and post-test in personnel requirement and counseling effect,and there were significant differences in connotation understanding,counseling principle and total scores,which indicated that the training effect was significant.The results of the open-ended questionnaire also showed that the majority of students were satisfied with the content and form of the training,and gained self-growth from the training,which also showed the effectiveness of the training.
