Homosexuality is accompanied by the emergence of human beings and coexists with the development of human society. However,it is rarely seen in the public because of the low speed of information dissemination, the particularity of homosexual group identity and the low level of social human rights protection in the past.In recent years, with the improvement of social civilization, social inclusiveness, people's education level,as well as the level of science and technology, the popularity of the Internet, homosexuality has attracted the attention and attention of all over the world. As social workers, helping others to help themselves is our responsibility.Looking at the current situation of homosexuals in China,we are still not optimistic enough and many basic rights are not guaranteed. If we ignore their needs and difficulties,on the one hand, for the group who has not come out of the cabinet, there will be problems of self rejection and self cognitive imbalance. On the other hand, the brave choice of homosexuals will lead to the difficulties of being accepted by the family and society as homosexuals. In the face of different cognitive imbalances, they are under great pressure both physically and mentally. And because of the traditional Chinese concept and the concept of family succession, gay men are more difficult to accept family than lesbians. Therefore, the author uses the professional working methods of social work, from the perspective of cognitive behavior,to conduct an in-depth study on the acceptance dilemma of gay families.Through literature research and solid preparation, this paper takes cognitive behavior theory as the research entry point, studies and analyzes the connection between cognitive behavior theory and research issues, and intervenes in a case ofacceptance dilemma of a real gay family.First,it adopts in-depth interview with the case owner to understand the problem of the case owner, and according to the existing knowledge and theoretical basis,This paper analyzes and defines the formation process and the specific situation of the sexual orientation of the case owner to avoid ethical problems, analyzes the dilemma faced by the case owner in combination with cognitive behavior theory, formulates goals, and intervenes in four stages by encouraging and proposing.Through the evaluation and comparison before and after the closure of the case,it can be concluded that the intervention of the case has made positive changes in the cognition and behavior of the individual and the family of the case owner, which basically realizes the work goal of the case and returns the family relationship to normal. This study on the family acceptance of gay men from the perspective of professional methods and perspectives of social work has positive significance in both academic theory and practical practice. On the one hand,it provides a feasible method for the future use of cognitive behavioral therapy model to intervene in the acceptance of gay families;on the other hand,it is conducive to enrich the perspective and content of social work research from the perspective of cognitive behavior, provide more entry points and footholds for the research of gay social work, and expand the scope of social work research. At present, the main fields of social work and the research of homosexuality are still limited. In the future, the development of homosexual social work in China is inevitable and essential. Therefore,as a member of social work profession,we should work together with homosexual groups to promote the development of homosexual social work.
