As the reserve force of academic research in China,postgraduate students take the responsibility for cultural inheritance,knowledge transmission and innovation,who play an important role in the process of promoting the modernization of education in China,to build a strong modern education country and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.To be a qualified master's student,students have two conditions to meet,one is to control a certain depth and breadth of theoretical knowledge,the other is to hold a certain academic research ability,that is,the ability to apply and innovate theoretical knowledge,according to the orientation of the training objectives of graduate students in the regulations of the People's Republic of China on degrees.However,with the development of science and technology,the social environment has changed,and the quality of postgraduate students has shown a downward trend,which has become the logical starting point of this study.The main content of this paper is divided into the following four parts:In the first part,the ideal role of the master students should be clarified,including the connotation,constitution and characteristics of the theoretical literacy of the master students.The goal of postgraduate education is to cultivate the one who gains a solid grasp of basic theory and systematic professional knowledge,and the ability to engage in scientific research.This means that it is the internal requirement to master solid theoretical knowledge and promote academic achievements through the application of theories.The theoretical literacy of postgraduate students describes a dynamic process,in which postgraduate students pay attention,internalize and absorb theoretical knowledge,ultimately make it explicit.So,this paper divides the theoretical literacy of master students into three aspects: theoretical consciousness,theoretical knowledge and theoretical ability,highlighting the characteristics of silent,individuality,professionalism,hierarchy and sustainability,and probes into the particularity of the master's degree in education.The second part,based on the in-depth observation and interview analysis the reality of the theoretical literacy of master students.The main performance is: theory consciousness is indifferent.In the breadth of theoretical knowledge is narrow,the depth of professional theoretical knowledge is shallow.The theory perception ability is lack,the theory transfer application ability is insufficient,the theory innovation ability is weak.In the third part,the analysis of internal and external factors can be combined with the personal,school and social background of the graduate students to analyze the causes of the low theoretical literacy of the graduate students.The first is the cognitive deviation of theoretical knowledge of master graduate students,resulting in utilitarian learning tendency and mechanical learning methods.The second is the spread of fragmented knowledge,which distracts their attention,kills their will,weakens their ability of deep thinking,and decreases their ability of knowledge transfer and application.The third is the excessive utilitarianism of the evaluation system and the unreasonable curriculum setting.The fourth is the incongruity between school training goals and social expectations.The fifth is the influence of the restless social and cultural atmosphere.In the fourth part,it is a long-term and complex systematic project how to promote the theoretical literacy of graduate students.Based on the characteristics and causes of the low theoretical literacy of master students,this study aims to improve the theoretical literacy of master students from three aspects: individual,school and society.First,to activate theoretical interest and stimulate theoretical consciousness.Postgraduates should establish the concept of "learning for pleasure",stimulate the theoretical needs of postgraduates,and play the influence of important mentors.Secondly,The curriculum should be inclined to classical reading,and the evaluation system should be unutilitarian.Finally,to construct the field of campus culture for deep learning,to establish a good academic salon ecology and improve the dissemination quality of academic lectures,so as to enhance the quality of academic exchanges and enable the postgraduate students to improve their theoretical literacy in a subtle way.
