It's a common understanding that improving primary school students' problem solving ability of mathematics in the world.It's also an important issue in the field of primary mathematics in China.Problem solving ability is a kind of ability,which examines the ability to analyze and solve problems in class and in life with comprehensive application of knowledge.It is one of the key abilities of talent cultivation in the new era.According to the curriculum standard,the ability to solve mathematical problems consists of six abilities: problem discovery,problem presentation,problem analysis,problem solving,cooperation,communication and reflection evaluation.How to improve pupils' ability in this field is one of the fundamental tasks.On the contrary,there are some errors in understanding and practice in this field of primary school.It directly affect the cultivation of pupils' problem-solving ability.How to solve these misunderstandings and propose reasonable suggestions is very essential.This study using the number and graph theory to solve mathematical problems to test students' ability to solve mathematical problems,not solve the knowledge that students have learned,the problems that students have done,but the students have to master the relevant knowledge,combined with the number and graph theory to solve the new mathematical problems.These problems are not the content that students master with high proficiency,but in the form of new problems.Therefore,students in the fifth grade of primary school can use the number and graph theory as an example to understand the present situation of students' ability to solve mathematical problems.The related theory of problem solving is used to investigate three schools in fifth grade students' problem solving ability.In this study,several typical methods are used to understand the present status of the primary school students' problem solving ability.Based on the research the study has made,the suggestion is made to improve the current situation.The following problems are found in pupils' mathematical problem-solving ability.The cognitive bias exists on mathematical problem solving ability cultivation.The problem representation method is simple.Mathematical problem solving ability is relatively weak.The reasons for the above problems are as follows: the school is not aware of the value of mathematical problem-solving,the lack of teacher training,the lack of attention to the comprehensive practice of mathematics.Teachers' teaching concept needs to be changed.Teaching design is not targeted.Teachers' effective guidance is insufficient and students are lack of knowledge and experience and initiative in asking questions.In view of the above problems,the author puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.First,the school should strengthen the problem solving ability by fully understanding the value of it,strengthening the teacher training and attaching importance to the teaching of comprehensive practice course of mathematics.Second,teachers use various ways to optimize classroom teaching.Third,the students strengthen their knowledge experience and training initiative to improve their own ability.
