On December 21,2008,the Ministry of education of the People's Republic of China issued the guiding outline for health education in primary and secondary schools(hereinafter referred to as the outline). The outline puts forward new requirements for health education in primary and secondary schools nationwide.According to the outline, schools should further strengthen health education, take the training of students' health awareness and public health awareness as teaching objectives and tasks, and require teachers to teach students to master basic health knowledge and skills,so as to promote primary and secondary school students to develop healthy lifestyle and behavior habits.Swimming,as a water sport, can effectively relieve the pressure of learning. At the same time,in the process of swimming, the body can be fully relaxed and rested due to the coordinated movements of the limbs, which will relieve the discomfort brought by the cervical vertebra and lumbar vertebrae. It can fully exercise the motor nerves of children,so that children can control their muscle activities more accurately. In this paper, through empirical research and mathematical analysis, using literature, interview, field survey, testing, statistical analysis and other research methods, the relationship between swimming teaching and 6-8-year-old children's physical coordination ability is studied. In the study,a quantitative index system of physical coordination ability test for children aged 6-8 years was constructed.Jiahe experimental school and the fourth Experimental Primary School in Dongping county were selected as the experimental sites, and 64 people were selected from the two schools, which were divided into control group and experimental group. Before the experiment, the members of the two groups were tested before the experiment. After that, the members of the experimental group received swimming teaching training for up to six months. The members of the control group only participated in the teaching of basic physical education courses. After the experiment, the members of the two groups were tested the same. After analyzing the experimental data, the following conclusions are drawn: 1.Swimming teaching has a very significant impact on the physical coordination ability of children aged 6-8;2.The physical coordination ability of children aged 6-8 is not affected by gender;3.The visual sensory coordination ability and trunk coordination ability of children aged 6-8 are not affected by swimming teaching.
