Under the framework of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum and the BRICS,China-South Africa cooperation in politics,economy and trade,culture,education and other fields has been continuously promoted.Vocational and technical education cooperation as an important part of education cooperation,not only meets the needs of South African social development for skilled talents,but also promotes the internationalization of vocational education in China,which is of great significance to promote people-to-people exchanges between China and South Africa.The China-South Africa vocational and technical education cooperation driven by bilateral demand from three dimensions: the government established a China HighLevel People-to-People,China and South Africa Technical and Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance and the BRICS skills cooperation competition and other cooperation platforms;the vocational colleges are the main body to carry out South Africa students' study internship projects in China,and establishment of overseas branches,etc.;Chinese companies in South Africa independently implement skills training for local employees.Based on field research and case analysis,this paper analyzes the China-South Africa vocational and technical education cooperation practices.The China-South Africa Vocational and Technical Education Cooperation has cultivated skilled talents for South Africa and effectively promoted the professional development of South African teachers.In the process of cooperation,the vocational colleges in China have improved their English curriculum construction ability,enriched their international education experience,and realized the sharing of China's vocational education reform experience.Chines enterprises trained local employees in South Africa.They has accelerated the transfer of technology to South Africa.However,while this has been successful,the bilateral cooperation process has faced a number of challenges,Including cross-cultural differences,poor language communication,inadequate funding,lack of quality assessment and so on,These problems have affected the further development and sustainability of bilateral cooperation.Therefore,the paper proposes four suggestions for China-South Africa vocational and technical education cooperation: First,build and improve a long-term mechanism for people-to-people exchanges,the government strengthens the top-level design,colleges and universities integrate people-to-people exchanges into education and teaching practices.Second,improve our cross-cultural communication skills and give full play to the role of various platforms,Confucius Institutes and Chinese enterprises.Third,promote the integration of production and education,the government,college and enterprise collaboration to create a new brand for China-South Africa vocational education cooperation.Fourth,improve the management mechanism for the whole process of vocational education cooperation,strengthen the construction of the school quality system of Sino-South African vocational education cooperation and management capabilities.
