With the continuous emergence of hot spots in colleges and universities,the problems and contradictions of students' vital interests have spread and received widespread attention from the society.In recent years,new media has become a major trend in social development.Under the new media environment,with the rapid formation and development of online public opinion in colleges and universities,the management of online public opinion in colleges and universities has become a new field that should not be underestimated by ideological and political education research.Under this background,carrying out research on network public opinion management in colleges and universities under the new media environment is not only an urgent need to strengthen online ideological and political education,but also an objective need to promote the healthy growth of college students,or an important measure to demonstrate a socialist harmonious campus culture.Overall,the article's research ideas follow the logical framework of what,why,and how to do it.First,the definitions of "new media","network public opinion","university network public opinion management" and other related concepts are defined,and the characteristics and necessity of college network public opinion management under the new media environment are discussed in multiple dimensions.Second,compile questionnaires,and distribute and collect questionnaires to students in 5 colleges and universities in Guilin.According to the results of the questionnaire survey,analyze the current status and existing problems of the network public opinion management of colleges and universities under the new media environment,and further carry out attribution analysis of the existing problems.Third,discuss the specific measures of colleges and universities online public opinion management in the new media environment from multiple dimensions,including rebuilding the triple management mechanism of online public opinion,building a professional network public opinion management team,giving full play to the publicity advantages of universities 'online public opinion work,using algorithm recommendation reasonably and build a fusion media platform of online public opinion management.Finally,draw conclusions,point out the current achievements and deficiencies of the institute,and point out the direction of improvement.
