Prosocial behavior is a kind of behavior beneficial to others and society, which is of great significance to interpersonal communication and social harmony. Some studies have shown that conscientiousness is an important factor influencing prosocial behavior and has predictive effect on prosocial behavior. At the same time, sense of control also has an important impact on prosocial behavior, and for students in secondary vocational schools, the perception of positive school psychological environment will also affect the relationship between conscientiousness, sense of control and prosocial behavior, but it is unclear how exactly these effects are. Therefore, based on the Norm Activation Model, this study constructs a moderated mediation model to explore the mechanism and conditions of the influence of sense of control and perceived positive school psychological environment on the prosocial behavior of secondary vocational students. The data of this study comes from the database of “Development Tracking and Evaluation of Psychological Development Characteristics of Secondary Vocational School Students”,which the author participated in as the main test.Selected 51,507 secondary vocational students from45 schools(30,413 male students,59%;21,094 female students,41%)completed tests on conscientiousness, sense of control, prosocial behavior and school psychological environment. The results show:(1)The scores of conscientiousness and sense of control of secondary vocational male students are significantly higher than those of female students, while prosocial behavior and perceived positive school psychological environment(safety and order, acceptance and support, fairness and justice, and encouragement of autonomy and cooperation)significantly lower than female students;secondary school students aged18 and above have significantly higher conscientiousness and prosocial behavior scores than secondary school students under 18,while the scores of perceived positive school psychological environment was significantly lower than that of secondary vocational students aged under 18;Secondary vocational school students whoseparents had higher education levels scored higher in conscientiousness, sense of control and perceived positive school psychological environment than those whose parents had lower education levels.(2)There was a significant negative correlation between conscientiousness and sense of control, and a significant positive correlation between conscientiousness and perceived positive school psychological environment and prosocial behavior. The sense of control is negatively correlated with the dimensions of perceived positive school psychological environment and prosocial behavior. The dimensions of perceived positive school psychological environment and prosocial behavior are positively correlated.(3)Secondary vocational students' sense of control plays a partial mediating role between conscientiousness and prosocial behavior, that is,conscientiousness can affect prosocial behavior directly or indirectly through sense of control. The dimensions of perceived positive school psychological environment(safety and order, acceptance and support, fairness and justice, and encouragement of autonomy and cooperation)among secondary vocational school students have a significant moderating role between conscientiousness and prosocial behavior, conscientiousness and sense of control, that is,perceived positive school psychological environment enhances the impact of conscientiousness of secondary vocational school students on prosocial behavior and sense of control.
