With the rapid development of social economy and the deepening of urban-rural integration, more and more young parents choose to send their children to boarding schools. This part of teenagers(generally 12 to 16 years old)is different from the general left-behind children. They are usually managed by professional educational personnel. Most of the time, parents and children are separated.Families provide money and less companionship for their children's development, and these teenagers undergo psychological and behavioral changes. The study pressure in the school and the interpersonal relationship in the society are gradually complex. At this stage, the pressure and troubles increase. Some teenagers cannot complete this transformation independently, and some problems arise, which have an impact on their life and study. In this stage the biggest problem is psychological problems, some juvenile behavior deviation is mainly psychological problems. Many scholars study adolescent problems from the perspective of psychology and pedagogy, and fewer from the perspective of social work. This paper analyzes the problems of free range teenagers in Z middle school and puts forward some countermeasures for their self-management.Taking Z in S county as an example, this paper randomly inspects 8 teenagers, and through the analysis of their psychological and behavioral problems,it looks for the common problems of boarding school teenagers.Starting from the case owners themselves, the study deeply analyzed their families and schools, and systematically observed some students in Z by means of literature retrieval, participatory observation and semistructured interview. The research found that the problems of such teenagers mainly include psychological problems, life ability problems, emotional problems, personality problems and social development problems.Based on the analysis of the problems of boarding adolescents, the researchers used the theory of resilience and social support to intervene with the method of group social work.Intervention is divided into three stages, each of which aims to identify, accept and improve oneself. The goals of each stage are interrelated, aimed at improving the bad psychology and bad behavior of some teenagers and developing self-management ability in the group.Students in boarding schools should improve their ability of self-management.Instead of seeing boarding schools as a dilemma, they should think positively aboutthe problem and at the same time discover the role of family. The study found that group intervention with resilience and reliable social support helped the group members.Through this kind of research,to improve the self-management ability of boarders,we can not only improve their inner resilience, but also establish the necessary social support system, both of which are indispensable.
