"Scientific reasoning" ability is an important part of the core literacy of junior high school students science disciplines,and it is also an important ability for junior high school students to learn science.Therefore,it is imperative to study the teaching methods of improving students' "scientific reasoning" ability.This research focuses on the "scientific reasoning" ability of a middle school student in Hangzhou.The improved "scientific reasoning" ability test paper is used as a test tool to test 84 students in the school.The test content is divided into 6dimensions: conservation reasoning,probability reasoning,proportional reasoning,related reasoning,hypothetical deductive reasoning,and control-variable reasoning.Based on the investigation currently,six test questions("steel and glass beads","coarse and fine graduated cylinders","response to fruit flies","throwing of hexahedron","tail and body shape of rats"," "Candle and Water Level")are selected to interview 18 students of different ability levels.The purposes are to analyze the thinking process of students of different levels of scientific reasoning and to construct students' thinking framework for each sub-reasoning.The steps about that standard-problem solving have been extracted from the research.Finally,it is transformed into question-chain answering steps that can guide students to think.
