| Children's reading is the basis of reading for the whole nation.Children's reading ability,reading interest and reading habit should be cultivated from an early age.However,only the accumulation of reading in class is far from meeting the needs of personal development.We must pay attention to children's extracurricular reading.The Chinese curriculum standard points out that the accumulation of language should be enriched,and stipulates that the total amount of extracurricular reading for primary school students should be no less than 1.45 million words.But the rural left-behind children's extracurricular reading situation is not optimistic.The author went deep into the rural primary schools in S county,Z province,investigated the current situation of rural left-behind children's extracurricular reading through the method of literature,questionnaire and interview,found the existing problems,analyzed the reasons behind the problems,and proposed targeted improvement measures.This study consists of four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly includes the proposal of the problem,the significance of the research,the research ideas and methods,the definition of rural left-behind children and extracurricular reading and other related concepts,and an overview of the relevant research in recent years at home and abroad.The second chapter,the rural left-behind children extracurricular reading status.The author conducted a questionnaire survey on 235 rural left-behind children from six rural primary schools in S county.Based on the results of interviews and questionnaires,the author analyzed the status quo of extracurricular reading of rural left-behind children from six aspects: interest and concept of extracurricular reading,time and quantity,method and habit,content and source,guidance and evaluation,and environment of extracurricular reading.The third chapter,the rural left-behind children extracurricular reading problems and causes analysis.Based on the status quo and survey results of extracurricular reading of rural left-behind children,this study finds that there are five problems in extracurricular reading of rural left-behind children.Second,the method of extracurricular reading is not flexible enough;Third,the habit of extracurricular reading to be strengthened;Fourth,the lack of extracurricular reading guidance;Fifth,extracurricular reading environment is not good.At the same time,this study analyzes the reasons behind the problem,and finds that the problem is mainly caused by the following points: first,the understanding of extracurricular reading is not comprehensive;Secondly,children have weak self-control and heavy academic burden.Thirdly,less investment in extracurricular reading;Fourth,less extracurricular reading activities;Fifth,the teachers and parents of extracurricular reading guidance ability to be improved.The fourth chapter,the rural left-behind children extracurricular reading problems to improve the countermeasures.Aiming at the causes of the problems,this study puts forward targeted countermeasures from the five aspects of students,teachers,schools,families and society.First of all,children should establish the concept of lifelong reading,learn to master a variety of reading methods,and strengthen self-supervision,develop the habit of extracurricular reading.Secondly,teachers can start from mobilizing children's interest in reading,recommend appropriate books for children,and improve their ability to better promote children's reading.The school should provide abundant resources of books and periodicals for children,guarantee the time of children's extracurricular reading in the system,and build a "bookish" campus.Parents need to change their ideas and pay more attention to the guidance of children's extracurricular reading.Through parent-child reading and reading aloud to children,children's reading ability can be improved.Finally,the government should attach importance to the cultivation of left-behind children's extracurricular reading,give play to the leading force to optimize the allocation of reading resources,and create a good social environment. |
