Study On The Development & Standardization Of Civilian-run Higher Education In Shaanxi

Civilian-run higher education is an important component part of our socialist higher education cause. It play a key role deepening the reform of the running schools , and in the course of realizing mass higher education in China. Civilian-run higher education is Shaanxi has been keeping its leading position in China since 1988's . The collective of civilian-run higher education in Shaanxi, which has its own local characteristic, is know as Shaanxi Phenomena in the course of the development of civilian-run higher education. However, with the development of market economy, the progress of science & technology , and the deepering of the reform of higher education, civilian-run higher education in Shaanxi has to confront challenges and difficulties,as well as opportunities to develop.The first part of this thesis reviews the luistong of development of civilian-run higher education in Shaanxi, and its characteristics at different stages as well. The author points out civilian-run higher education in Shaanxi has made great contribution to ecomony of Shaanxi. At the same time, the author analyzes the reasons why civilian-run higher education in Shaanxi will be well developed.The second part, based or the present situation of civilian-run higher education in Shaanxi, analyzes the actual problems confronting civilian-run higher education in Shaanxi : the status, reform of management, the impact from the widening of college enrollment of state-run higher education ,lack of educational investment, the construction of teaching personnel, simplified and repeated majors ,etc.The third part of this paper, based on the plight of civilian-run higher education in Shaanxi, the author puts forward some constructive suggestions and rational thoughts concerning the reform of civilian-run higher education in Shaanxi, sude as correctly handling the relationship between the state-run and civilian-run higher education, strengthening the construction of teaching personnel, improving the efficiency of running civilian-run higher education , and so on.
