In recent years, joint swelling and pain deformity, muscle spasm and atrophy will lead to the losing of joint function on account of the Rheumatoid Arthritis(RA),which may seriously affect the living standards of patients and draw a widely public attention. Moreover, its pathogenesis is complex and the course of the disease is repetitive. It is difficult to achieve the expected therapeutic effect simply relying on drug therapy,on the occasion of all the status,Tai Chi is of great help to the disease control due to the characteristics of both internal and external exercise and physical and mental exercise. This study mainly explored the improvement of symptom index, physiological and biochemical index and quality of life index of RA patients by Tai Chi combined with whip movement.Twenty RA patients were recruited as study objects and randomly divided them into two groups, they respectively are control group and Tai Chi group, with 10 people in each group.I sampled RA symptoms index(DAS28 score, simplified disease activity index, the assessment of syndromes SDAI),physiological and biochemical index(body weight, heart rate, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure,RF,ESR,CRP,RBC,WBC,HGB,PLT,AST,ALT,GGT,ALP)and the quality of life index(HAQ scores, anxiety SAS,depression SDS,time of morning stiffness, the number of joint pain and joint swelling)before and after the experiment, timely collected the indexes of exercise, diet, heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation, and sleep time, and analyzed the influence of12 weeks of Tai Chi&Carter exercise intervention to the symptom index, physiological and biochemical index and quality of life index. The results showed that: 1)Compared with the control group, the index of DAS28,TCM syndrome score, heart rate, systolic blood pressure,ESR,CRP,anxiety SAS,HAQ,and number of joint pain in the Tai Chi group were significantly reduced(p<0.01),the body weight, diastolic blood pressure, depression SDS,blood oxygen saturation, and morning stiffness time were significantly reduced(p<0.05);2)After 12 weeks of TaiChi&Carter exercise intervention, the Tai Chi group, whose disease activity DAS28,ALT,depression SDS,HAQ,joint pain significantly reduced(p <0.01),HGB significantly increased(p < 0.01),the simplified disease activity index SDAI,TCM syndrome score,ESR,anxiety,SAS,joint swelling, morning stiffness time significantly reduced(p < 0.05).Conclusion: 12 weeks of Tai Chi&Carter exercise intervention can improve the symptom index of physiological and biochemical index and life quality index of RA patients to a certain extent. This study provides a certain reference for the formulation of exercise programs for RA patients, and also provides a certain theoretical basis for the research of the treatment of RA on the role and value of traditional national sports, such as Tai Chi.
