The Sustainable Development Of Xiangxi Traditional Villages Under The Background Of "Hollowing"

Traditional villages are spatial carriers of survival and development since the formation of human settlements,and are the product of agricultural civilization.The number of traditional villages in Xiangxi is huge,and most of them are located in mountainous areas with poor traffic and economic backwardness.With the advancement of industrialization and urbanization,the number of migrant workers is increasing.Many traditional villages are facing serious hollowing problems and lack of village main bodies.The development of villages is difficult.This study took Shuangfeng Village,Yongshun County,Xiangxi Prefecture as the research object.Through in-depth field investigation,the reason and social impact of the village's "hollowing" were discussed.Finally,the sustainable development theory and the perspective of community building were used to propose a solution village.Relevant countermeasures for hollowing out.Shuangfeng Village is a typical traditional Tujia village in western Hunan.Since the beginning of the 20 th century,due to the large population outflow,the village has seen empty houses,empty industries,empty talents,and culture empty.From the macro level,this is the result of the evolution of urban-rural relations and the adjustment of the national education policy;from the micro level,the lagging productivity levels of mountain areas,the rural people's yearning for urban life,and many urban employment opportunities are important reasons.Under the state of "hollowing out",Shuangfeng Village is faced with the difficulties of slowing down the development of traditional agriculture,bearing the limits of national cultural transmission,and increasing the difficulty of traditional village governance.The author believes that the sustainable development of Shuangfeng Village should strive from the four objectives of ecological livability,industrial prosperity,cultural inheritance,and nostalgia continuation.Some countermeasures can be taken,such as calling elites to return to their hometowns,and exploring the development of hollow villages according to local conditions model,pay attention to the production and life of the left-behind people,learn the experience of hollowing out governance abroad,and so on.
