Study On Gu Sui's Classical Poetry Teaching Thought

Chinese classical poetry has rich educational value and spiritual connotation,which is an important part of Chinese traditional culture.The teaching of classical poetry is always accompanied by compulsory education.Based on this,this paper studies the classical poetry teaching thought of educator Gu Sui in the period of the Republic of China,aiming to provide some enlightenment for the current classical poetry teaching in China with the experience of masters.Gu Sui was born in a family with a strict family education,accompanied by classical poetry from childhood.After he entered Peking University,he received the help of many famous teachers.After years of the study and research,he gradually formed his own unique teaching style in the teaching practice of nine years of basic secondary education and decades of higher education.At the level of educational ideal,Gu Sui regards "art for life" as his educational belief,and emphasizes the guidance and influence function of ancient poetry teaching on human practice;at the level of teacher,he selects teaching content,interprets the ethical value of poetry for students,and enlightens students with poet's conduct and accomplishment;at the level of student,he advocates "step by step" teaching He also proposed that the ancient poetry class should also be interesting,democratic and open,both Chinese and western.Through his teaching methods,this paper sums up the four characteristics of the teaching thought of following the classical poetry,that is,attaching importance to feeling and seeking truth,outstanding styles,seeking breath from voice and applying knowledge.Mr.Gu emphasized the integration of life education and poetry teaching.His "wild horse running" style of teaching became his own,shows unique teaching style.He also advocated to understand the wonderful meaning of poetry by chanting andreading,and to improve the social personality and quality of students by classical poetry.It can be seen that,many of his educational concepts and unique ideas of poetry teaching have brought us a lot of enlightenment in today's Chinese teaching.In the teaching of classical poetry,we should take education as the starting point and foothold,encourage students to create poetry,let them learn to express and create beauty,and let students form a good habit of accumulation,and learn to understand the wonderful meaning of classical poetry through recitation and recitation.Teachers also need to effectively expand in daily teaching,so that students in the learning process of classical poetry,continue to form a good character and cultivation,and truly realize the fundamental task of education and moral education.While following the example of GuSui,teachers should also consider the actual situation of themselves and students,step by step,innovating ceaselessly,and strive to form their own teaching characteristics and styles.
