Novel reading teaching is an important part of Chinese reading teaching.In combination with the text of the novel and the Standards for Chinese Courses in Ordinary High Schools,it is necessary to inject appropriate theoretical guidance into the teaching design of novel reading in order to achieve the goal of cultivating students' Chinese core accomplishment,highlighting the important position of language and reflecting the aesthetic value and teaching value of novel reading.As a reading theory that attaches importance to the status of language,Rhetorical Reading Theory coincides with the construction of new ideas in the teaching design of novel reading.Therefore,the research on the rhetorical reading teaching design of novels can construct the rhetorical reading teaching concept of novels in theory,and the rhetorical reading teaching concept of novels can promote the improvement and innovation of the teaching design of novels in practice.The main theoretical bases of Rhetorical Reading are Jacques Derrida's Deconstructionism and Nietzsche's Escape Rhetoric.Rhetorical Reading's basic view is that language has rhetoric,the self-deconstruction of text and the unreadability of text.The reasons for applying Rhetorical Reading to the teaching design of high school novels are as follows: Firstly,the orientation of Standards for Chinese Courses in Ordinary High Schools.The Chinese core accomplishment and the specific contents of the curriculum objectives in the Standards for Chinese Courses in Ordinary High Schools both point to the Rhetorical Reading which can be applied to the teaching design of senior high school novels.Secondly,the appeal of novel features to Rhetorical Reading teaching design.The diversity of the interpretation of the novel text and the fiction of the novel text reflect that the novel text can contain the Rhetorical Reading Theory.Thirdly,the demand of the psychological characteristics of students and their reading ability.Their psychological development gradually tends to be stable and reading ability is also improving.Therefore,thedevelopment of students demands the change of novel teaching design.The teaching concept of rhetorical reading in high school novels is constructed by combining the novel text and Rhetorical Reading Theory.The metaphorical teaching objectives of Chinese classical novels,Chinese modern novels and foreign novels are determined based on the rhetoric of language.To organize the teaching contents of three kinds of novels from multiple angles based on the uncertainty of textual meaning.The reading situation is created by combining Rhetorical Reading with text content from four structures: need and motivation,task and case,condition and information,cognition and practice.Based on the text can't read to designing novel teaching activities and using appropriate teaching strategies.Based on the design of rhetorical reading teaching in novels,the rationality of rhetorical reading teaching process and the effectiveness of rhetorical reading teaching results are evaluated.In each stage of discourse,the author insists on the principle of combining Rhetorical Reading Theory with practice,so as to fully explore the theoretical value of rhetorical reading and provide systematic and complete guidance for the construction of Rhetorical Reading teaching concept in novels.Under the guidance of the Rhetorical Reading teaching concept,the concrete teaching design is carried out.A complete novel rhetorical reading teaching activity is designed by selecting the Chinese classical novel Lin Chong Shelters from the Snowstorm in the Shanshen Temple,the Chinese modern novel Blessing,and the foreign novel The Old Man and the Sea in the compulsory high school Chinese textbook published by people's education edition.
