Among the many examinees who take part in the college entrance examination,there is a group of ethnic minorities who use ethnic language.They need different education methods because of bilingual teaching,so they also need different measurement and evaluation methods.In the aspect of Chinese learning,the state has set up two kinds of examinations for ethnic examinees to meet the needs of college entrance examination and entrance to colleges and universities.First,Chinese Proficiency Test for Minoritiess(Level 3),referred to as MHK(Level 3);second,the national unified Chinese language test for college enrollment,referred to as the Chinese language test.At present,ethnic candidates in Inner Mongolia use MHK(Level 3)test paper.This report attempts to compare the two types of test papers,and analyze which is more scientific,which is more conducive to the improvement of Chinese literacy of ethnic candidates.The report mainly compares the two test papers in terms of form,material selection and content.On the whole,the two test papers have their own characteristics,but especially in terms of content,the difference between the two is very worthy of attention.In the aspect of Chinese basic knowledge,both the comprehensiveness and difficulty of Chinesetest paper are higher than MHK(Level 3),which means that Chinese test paper has higher requirements for the application of Chinese knowledge.In the aspect of reading,the Chinese test paper reflects the requirements of the course standard in an all-round way.It not only tests the understanding of the basic meaning,but also emphasizes the appreciation on this basis,which includes the consideration of the candidates' basic literary literacy.However,MHK(Level 3)only focuses on the examination of the understanding ability,which shows the obvious tendency of emphasizing the language rather than the text.In terms of composition,MHK(Level 3)mainly focuses on speaking clearly and writing correctly,emphasizing the communication function of Chinese as a second language,i.e.focusing more on the instrumentality of language;on this basis,the Chinese test paper takes the clear center,substantial content,complete structure and clear organization as an important consideration element.It measures the candidates' composition from the perspective of "article".In addition to paying attention to the instrumentality of language,it also shows the concern for the humanity of Chinese.Based on the above content,the report draws three conclusions:compared with the MHK(Level 3)test paper,the Chinese test paper is more comprehensive and objective to reflect the ability and level of candidates;compared with the MHK(Level 3)test paper,the Chinese testpaper is more conducive to the improvement of students' cultural literacy;compared with the MHK(Level 3)test paper,the Chinese test paper is more conducive to the development of national education.Therefore,the author believes that MHK(Level 3)is not suitable for the subject of Chinese test in college entrance examination,and this task should still be undertaken by the traditional Chinese test.
