In the current society, body consumption has a profound impact on people's image grooming,self-discipline,social class status and gender role. But education has long been divorced from consumption. This study focuses on the college students during the transition from minor to adult. In the context of the rapid development of the Internet and the comprehensive invasion of consumerism, their body consumption behavior characteristics, influencing factors and significance interpretation. This study adopted mixed research methods. In the part of quantitative research, the data of 660 college students from four universities in Shanghai and xi 'an were collected with a self-made questionnaire. In the part of quanlitative study,35 college students were interviewed,to understand their meaning construction of body consumption and the cultural logic behind their behavior.First, college students generally have the consciousness of overconsumption, and nearly 30% of college students support it.Impulsive consumption, compulsive consumption and other irrational consumption problems are prominent.Although most of them can take personal repayment ability into consideration and repay the loan in a timely manner, the proportion of loan consumption in the college students has increased significantly. The economic risks faced by the college students in the future is increaseing.Nearly 80% of college students want colleges and universities to offer courses related to consumption. In terms of body aesthetics, college students pay great attention to weight, and advocate thinness as beauty, quantitative measurement standard and detailed requirements for body parts.Secondly, body consumption is the second largest expenditure item for college students, among which the proportion of clothing, skin and body consumption decreases in turn.School location, major and grade have significant influence on college students' body consumption. In addition, the four variables of dating experience, online shopping time, irrational consumption and attitude towards body modification also have significant effects on college students' body consumption. The network social space presents a trend of fluidity and visibility, but the discipline does not become invalid because of the flow of space, instead,it extends to their private life through the flow of individuals.College students are actively selfdisciplined while regulating themselves both internally and externally.Thirdly, there is a significant gender difference in the body consumption of Chinese college students, and the ideal body image is "delicate" girls and "clean" boys.Female college students' body consumption input and body modification concepts are significantly higher. While accepting the discipline of the social aesthetic discourse system, they also highlight their subjectivity through self-modification technology.Male college students' body consumption is full of contradictions and controversies. They realize the importance of body image to their own development, but they are restricted by the traditional gender concept, and they avoid image decoration to build masculinity. As a result, male college students show the disconnection between the concept of body consumption and behavior.According to this, this study suggests that: Firstly, colleges pay attention to the construction of campus culture, strengthen the education function of hidden curriculum.Secondly, from elementary education to higher education, financial literacy education should be strengthened by setting up independent courses, integrating into other courses, holding lectures and other learning methods.Thirdly, colleges should guide the rational consumption of college students into the ideological and political education work, and actively create a campus atmosphere for healthy consumption and rational consumption.
